    This is a quick easy tutorial on how to replace the serpentine belt on Your jeep 4.0 liter wrangler tj. Hope this helps you out and stops the horrible squeaking

You earned yourself a subscriber. I drive a '97 Jeep Wrangler that i do most of the work on myself . So, im sure ill be back here for more advice ! LoL.     Thank you so much for this. Easy fix but getting the belt over that middle wheel can be a challenge...

    1/2 inch play, and like you say yes it is snug but you can push the belt down a half inch when you hold a ruler against it. It’s a pretty hard push to get a half inch of play. If you overtighten these things you’ll take out your bearings.

    I have a 2002 tj. I’m gonna see if everything is similar to yours and give this a try. Conveniently, the belt diagram is glued to my fan cover 😊

      That way it allows attention and screw to move Foley and then when you are finished you tighten that poly back up

    Is this TJ not equipped with a tensioner that you can pivot to loosen the belt?
