CRAPPIE FISHING (Where do crappie go after the spawn)

- In this video I fish the Warrior River in central Alabama for post spawn crappie. I use a slip cork and minnows and also casting jigs, to locate crappie.
I also go over my new built-in Aerator system in my boat. I’ve used all the store bought aerator pumps and have created the best aerator for live bait.

I like the pump set up...at that price I'm going to set up an air line at the front casting deck (where I fish) and another air line at the back where my buddy's fish. Hook them up to a cheap walmart lawn mower battery and put a small solar charger on it and never have to buy big D batteries any more. Thanks for the tip.
Very easy to do, I’d probably run two pumps although one would work.
@@awfoutdoors6299 Yes....I'm thinking 2 pumps and I may put a 12V dimmer switch on it too so I can dial it up or down depending on how many bubbles I want. The dimmers may not be needed but I'm a gadget guy and I like doing that kind of stuff anyway. I put a dimmer on my shad tank and it works great. Thanks for the reply brother!!!

Our lake here in Arkansas is up 10 ft above normal and the crappie haven't spawned yet but caught 10 keepers

Very nice video, what size hooks you use number? How does you order your minnows dozen, or buy the pound. Thanks in advance!
I use #2 and #1’s. And buy minnows by the pound.
You can also get minnows sometimes by 1/4 and 1/2 pound
I have a question 🤔....I went fishing today for crappie today bout 5am and all of sudden a big school of minnows/shad came along the bank and still no crappie bite but the brim fish we're hitting.
Yes , shad are going into their spawn now, I saw them yesterday swimming around me like that.
@@awfoutdoors6299 me too and I’m in central Florida. Bass were thumping them at shoreline. Also- crazy enough is day or so later I was over 18’ of water and shad were bumping bottom of my plastic Pond Prowler boat!!!

Not sure what type boat you’re looking for but there’s a lot of different Facebook groups that sell boats, also Marketplace , if you want to buy from an individual.

It’s not over everywhere and I believe they are still spawning some. Our weather going from warm to cold has spread the spawn out alot this year.
