I hope the doubts and concerns can be resolved with the FF XVI, which will be probably available two weeks before the full version is launched.
I'd like to seem them add challenge rings and items, lower the evasion window, deal less DMG and stuff, it would be cool to have the extra difficulty customization.
Im so glad FF went this route with gameplay because ive always imagined how the battles wouldve went during its turn based era.
I love that he took something from so many FF titles. He's improved on the combat from 15 and 7R, the stagger gauge from 13, he captured the simplistic beauty of ff14s UI and symbols (like the icons for skills etc.) It looks fantastic
How is a repetitive action based rpg improvement over the same crap game they been putting out lol I mean its literally the same action rpg as the crap ff7 remake ..these new games are great only for you young people who wasn't raised playing the og final fantasy games all these new releases are blasphemy

@@jaydeebow6431 I mean that's the point? Game Franchises like FF need new blood because the old fanbase will eventually die out with age. If they want the franchise to survive for many for years to come then it's necessary to attract new attention to it no? Just like what the comment above said, If you don't like it then don't play it. Gate keeping people from playing a franchise by elitist like you is annoying. Sure it sucks that FF is straying from what made it popular (turn based) but is that really a bad thing though? If this is successful then it'll only help the FF franchise in the long run since it'll attract new players who are curious towards the older titles, and if they like it then appreciation for the older games will continue, the thing you OG folks love to always say.
I'm so glad that Yoshida was in charge of this project he poured his heart into this game. The game looks amazing June can't come soon enough.

I love the save sprites. What a great touch.
Man this looks like a blast, overall great art and sound direction, a cool little hub, seemingly lots of little settlements to get some flavor dialogue and lore, and a fast paced combat system
The one handed playing might seems very brain dead, but the feature to customize the combat to such a level is amazing for heavily disabled people 😊
The one handed gaming is super handy for those with disability. they can play and attack enemies without complicated controls.
I really can't wait for this one....I'm an absolute fan of Final Fantasy all together and I've always wanted to really fight as and control a summon forever and a day, since ff7 og when I was a kid, and now to finally be able to fight as, have the spirits of, and actually control/run around as the summons/eikons in battle is truly wish come true! I'm so happy I bought the ps5 recently
Did they say they will be summonable at will? Because from the footage it seems that the icons/eons will only be summonable in scripted areas and only against certain enemies

Indeed and it will bee difficult to master without accessibility rings. That was my only concern and now i am happy to know that you can play without prompt screen to doge! Yes full blown hardcore combat. The one i love the most.
It just looks like damage, stagger rinse and repeat. It looks nice but that's about it.

Live changing summons/abilities is like Dante changing modes - Gunslinger/trickster/Sword Master/Royal Gaurd.

Accessibility is precisely the reason they haven't released a good FF game in decades lol, to make a good game they had to remake FF7
They didn't show any accessibility options unless you mean the hand-holding, because those are 2 different things.
A setting for the color blind or deaf is an accessibility option, being able to play w/ the game one hand is hand-holding.
Not every game is meant for everybody.
I like the accessibility accessories. Its good for players that aren't good at games and gives them the ability to be badass and focus on story.
The battle music reminds me of ff8 battle theme. Love it.
Square should take this 16 engine and build upon it for ff17 so the time gap isn’t long
Yeah we should get at least two main titles per console generation (not counting remakes).
The limiting factor isn’t the engine, it’s the sheer amount of art needed for these games.
@@DiggOlive the engine has been a limiting factor in the past. I think at least part of the reason this development has gone so smoothly is because they built on the success of a previous engine and abandoned Luminous.

WOW the Devil May Cry influence is prevalent in this game, and the Summons battles are looking like matches in Tekken
So basically, skip the rings if you like video games, use the rings if your just here for the story. MAkes a lot of sense, and its not forced on you, finally a dev team wit brains
You don't even need it to be rings. These QOL/easy mode items could be just be option toggles like how other games do it.
Ok, that battle system has grown a little bit more on me. I still don't like it 100% but it has potential. I still feel that the battle music sounds too telenovelesque, like, I feel like I'm fighting in some sort of 90s Mexican Telenovela. Again, not necesarily bad, but it kind of feels off somehow.

@MekaniDragon I just prefer a fast-paced flow. For me, anyway, it's more intense and immersive. Just one man's opinion. Definitely not saying one is right and one is wrong. I see the value in both. It's just my preference

This might possibly be my favorite FF. Even though Graphics isn’t everything but this feels so damn immersive. FF VI & IX are my two tops … we will see how the story unfolds but l think it’s safe to say it’ll be a hell of a game
IX is my fave, too! I just wish the battle actions were a BIT slower. There’s just a lot of effects that flash across the screen during battles, which confuse me and make me feel less connected with the battle.

I can tell you the music in this game is tuned to high vibration notes, no wonder it makes my skin shake when I heard it, its amazing.

while i'm okay with the combat system and stuff with the later generation of final fantasy games, the part i don't like is all the flashing lights and special effects that basically blind the screen most of the time during combat. It's a bit overkill.

damn this game looks really good, it looks like 2023 in gaming is snapping off.. its been soo long since we had a good year.. so many good games back to back ( yea there were a few bad ones but the good ones overshadowed them. other years there were too many bad games and just 2 good games were good that whole year. 2023 is the best year in gaming so game in a LONG LONG TIME.
It's actually pretty funny how they said XVI isnt "open world" and some people got upset, but it clearly is open world, at least by many games' standards. There are definitely "open world" games with a smaller map than the one he showed us, and there are multiple maps in this game.

The amount of animation in every second of FF16 is INSANE! This is one of the most high production game that is polished to the tiniest details possible. I simply can't wait to get my hands on it. I am sure that it will be highly praised and rightfully so. All i have seen so far points out to another GOTY.

Game looks great but does anyone have any information on character customization/gear appearance? In the first reveal trailer the protagonist barely had any armor and in most recent gameplay reveals he pretty much has the same armor style. Will appearance be locked to story progression or can we customize our character?

The two zones in Dhalmekia where he initially is and then he fast travel to the other one... Are both reachable - like riding a chocobo - or you must use the fast travel for every "field" of the map?

I like this modular difficulty system, quite often I like to play games on hard difficulty, but there is often one aspect of the hard mode that I dislike. For example, sometimes things are just tedious and not really difficult in my opinion~ they just take away from the fun. This way I can filter out that tedious thing, and only keep the aspects I enjoy.

Square at it again with false advertisement. The 60fps mode isn’t in 4k at all and here i don’t see any motion blur, but the released product has it and cant be switched off. Last time i buy their games on release.

@@xquad973I believe so as Yoshi said that love is a big theme in FF16, such as using love as a weapon, the true love between two people, brotherly love, the love of a family, and love of a nation.
As for Clive, the devs mentioned that a prominent female character’s relationship with Clive affect him in ways that reverberate throughout his arc. This is no doubt Jill. Also I don’t think you have to worry about the brothers both liking the same girl, because I think Clive was 15, Jill was 12, and Joshua was 10 when they all got separated in different ways. Josh was probably too young, and too busy to even be interested. Clive and Jill travel together for like a decade from what I’ve heard, so I honestly don’t think there’s gonna be any love triangle stuff.
