A little tip for books you aren't sure about: take them off the shelf and put them on a separate stack. Wait about a week and if you don't miss them on your shelf's get rid of them.
I relate to you so strongly. I have so many books that I’ve had for years and have either never read or not enjoyed but I can’t bring myself to get rid of. I form a strong emotional attachment to all my books and can never get rid of them.
I'm with you, Chloe. You shouldn't keep a book only because it was a gift. Once a gift is given, that's it. Unless you think the giver is going to check back in with you to make sure you still possess your gift? If I give someone something, it's theirs to do with as they please. If they want to set it on fire in front of me, that's their prerogative. Please don't attach such lofty values to things because they were a gift!
It so satisfying watching your unhaul! And, if you like the cover, you can find the artist and order the pictures they design or can take pictures of the cover and keep the pictures! I do this alot with cove I had massive pictures collection now...
It’s not looking good for them😂 I have had a few that I’ve read and really enjoyed but because they don’t announce which books are in the boxes before hand, I do get a few that I’m not interested in😬
I winced at getting id of God Omens. It's one of my all-tie favorites. :) If you are waffling on keeping a book because of FOMO, just remember there are ebooks...
Give Grady Hendrix a shot! His books are sooo good!! So quick to read too, I got through each one in a full day (because I found them impossible to put down)! :)
I really enjoyed watching this. Someone else mentioned it, but your process worked really well. I know this is a HUGE long shot given it’s like 7-8 months after this has been posted but do you still have Felix Ever After, Turtles All the Way Down, The Curious Incident of the Dog at Midnight or the Caraval series?
I was praying to all the Gods that you were getting rid of The Poppy War triology so I could snag them from you 🤣 I've been searching forever for the hardbacks!! Great unhaul!
In the back of my mind, I keep thinking what if I get rid of the book. And it could end up in a home, where it will get mistreated and not be loved. Which is crazy since books aren't living things. But in a way they are, considering they have little worlds in them. Though if I'm not reading them or care about them, or are not rereading them, then they should go back into the world where someone else might want them. I have so many books, that I just don't pick up anymore because my tastes have changed and it has just become clutter.
I really enjoyed those 2 Carrie books - When the curtain falls and All that she can see. All that she can see was a little slow but I really felt seen with that one regarding anxiety etc. When the curtain falls was like a little mystery and I actually got a bit creeped out at the end!
My sister is taking the Caraval books for now but if she ever wants to get rid of them I’ll let you know! Crescent City is still up for grabs so if you’d like to send me a message on instagram/ twitter we could sort something😄
I think I need to get ruthless with my shelves. Oh my days your Caraval set 🤭😳 oh my goodness if I had the hardcovers I couldn’t part with them. I love that series. I also want to get the Nevernight books all in hardcover
Hi! I really like watching your videos on book tube for book suggest. I am interested in purchasing these books: All the Stars and Teeth, Sky in the Deep, A Skinful of Shadows, The Lie Tree, This Golden Flame, Bone Crier’s Moon, Shielded, Star Daughter, The mystery of the Clockwork Sparrow, How to be Brave, Crown of Feathers, Goddess in the Machine, Stealing Snow, Alice in the zombie land series, Pumpkin Heads,Winterwood, Forest of Souls, Cinderella is dead, Heartless, Crier’s War, Aru Shah and the end of time, the book of lost tales, Death on the Nile, and The Murder at the Vicarage. Sorry about the long list of books
every now and then I try yo watch unhaul videos to get the flow going and do it myself but then a book I really like love or I love the author gets unhauled and I'm like no nope I'm not doing this and stop the video 🤣 I'm at 3:24 and my heart is already broken 💔 xdddd
Great unhaul :- ) I don't read a lot of ya contemporary and Felix Ever After was one of my favorites :- ) But I listened to it on audio and the audiobook was amazing so I'd recommend the audio version if you get rid of the physical copy :- )
If you liked Truthwitch and followed that fine then the rest of the series should be good. Also The Dark Vault books are nearly more companion books than anything else so you can read the two and not be unsatisfied
hi, Welsh Reader! I want to share one book with you. "Kayan Kollyn- the Spiral of the Ellmott and Messenger of the Secret." a great fiction book of adventure, mystery, ART, ancient CRAFFARTT, and science. once you read it you really love it. the story speaks about all dimensions of life. awaiting the video on this book! and this video will definitely increase your subscribers, God bless you. and, our good wishes for your channel. we like your content! thanks for the recommendation.
Aru Shah and the End of Time is a terrible example of modern middle grade. I read it in 2021 when the latest book came out and it was definitely a nope from me, though not the worst middle grade I picked up that year. Cathedral of Bones would be, as that was too freaky, terrible world, although I at least liked one of the characters in that, which is more than I can say for Aru Shah lol. The wolf girl at the end of Aru Shah book one was interesting but we don't get to meet her then. As for the Hatmakers, Cordelia was all right, but mixing magic with a historical time period in MG seems bizarre, and it didn't go so well in that story imo. A GOOD MG I read in 2021 was Across the Pond by Joy McCullough, really fun book and the parallels to classic children's book is interesting, there's even a World War II backdrop for the past portion of the story like in The Chronicles of Narnia. There waws one published in October I want to check out, it claims to be the Percy Jackson/Narnia/His Dark Materials of the 2020's, I think it's called Fireborn or something, was in the Goodreads October New Releases that month. I notice however that they conveniently left out Kendra Sorenson, who is on the same level as Lucy Pevensie at LEAST, which was a terrible oversight honestly, so I'm not sure how much I trust the statement that that book should be placed alongside beloved series but we shall see.
Hello my name is Meg and I am doing a yearly campaign to donate some books to built national libraries starting from Lebanon, if you are interested about my project let me connect you and explain to you this whole project. Thank you
I think people believe they can get through more books than they have time some of them were subscribed services so can sometimes forget how much they have on shelves already
, omg id love to have most of the ones you dont want .. like the following are on my to buy list .... al the stars have teeth , bone cryers moon , unhooked . and shielded /wilder girls / star daughter/ crown of featherst
it makes me laugh how many people have said they dont want to suport the authors because of something they have done , but you are supporting them , by giving the book to someone else to read , is making them the supporter instead ,.. maybe if people dont want to support the authors because of something stupid or not so stupid reasons than maybe you should burn the book from the author that you dont want to support any more , as there will be one less book to worry about and you have certainly not supporting the author in any way .
I wish all unhaul videos were like this, I love seeing the process!
Thank you so much! I really hope you enjoyed☺️

It’s not looking good for them😂 I have had a few that I’ve read and really enjoyed but because they don’t announce which books are in the boxes before hand, I do get a few that I’m not interested in😬
14:22 this antology has V.E Schwab in it :D is it good?
It’s ok! Not as detailed as it’s a short story but you can still feel her writing style
I wished I could get all your books... I cannot get rid of books, I love them too much. I'm not a hoarder, I am a collector. ♥
Noooooo not Temeraire!! You should definitely revisit the series one day.
I really want to!

Thank you so much! They’re really good, complex little mysteries and I’d highly recommend👀 (the audiobooks are on Scribd if you have that)

I havent done an unhaul in 2 years. I think maybe it should be time, but I don't know.
Do what feels right for you! I wouldn’t have gotten rid of half of these last year but I feel comfortable doing so now
@@welshreader Yeah so true. I know if I do try and unhaul my husband will just put them on his shelfs so kind of redundant.
