Omg I hate when people sell their BOTM books pretending that "retail cost" was the cost of the book you'd get literally anywhere else, as if we dont all know it was only $10.
Sameeeee. My pet peeeeeve (this doesn’t just apply to books. It can apply to anyone selling things 2nd hand) is when people try to sell a used item for close to, the exact price or more than the price of the actual item lol. With it being used .. the price should be knocked alllllll the way down. There are exceptions but in 99% of cases … mark it down.
Oh man, you got rid of my favorite book! I understand though. :) Carry On by Rainbow Rowell is a lot softer and kinder than you’d think when you hear Draco and Harry. The way that series explores love and trauma was surprisingly deep given the subject matter!
Ahhhh so sorry!!! I really think it is an interesting concept, and I am sure I would have enjoyed it at some point in my life. It just isn't calling to me right now, but maybe I will reconsider someday! Thank you for letting me know though!
This is amazing! I love this method of cleaning. I may have to take inspiration from this video and do one myself! I'm desperately needing to go through my books. Good job at getting rid of so many!
I just subscribed. I really need to do this too, I have well over 1000 books so it's very daunting haha. I'm gonna do a shelf. Thanks for the inspiration!
I started watching your videos today (starting with this one!) and I had to immediately subscribe. After watching a few more, I love how peaceful and enjoyable your videos are! Also, I found some really great books in your shelves. Can't wait to watch more in the future!
Omg your comment literally made my day!! Thank you SO MUCH for subscribing! I am so happy you are enjoying it! Can't wait to put out more content in the future!!
I enjoyed this video and subscribed just now. I really like the fact that you used the Marie Kondo Spark Joy method. 😊 Give the occasion more meaning.!
I I unhaul the hunger games and divergent series and the later on we bought them So now I just keep them on my shelf even though I thought about getting rid of them again because I bought them again later on
@@KarasBookshelf Awesome. Amazon is cool if you already know what you want. However, I enjoyed the sense of exploration and discovery from shopping at bookstores, especially used ines.
I quite enjoyed The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes! It leans more to the philosophical side of the Hunger Games series as opposed to the action packed side, so your opinion on it probably depends upon why you liked the Hunger Games. I think it’s super interesting to be inside Snow’s head and the way he attempts to justify himself but also becoming worse as the story goes along. I say give it a go. My Dad, brother and I all read it and had several great discussions about it (as we did with the Hunger Games years ago).
okay you might have just convinced me!!! i feel like i want to reread at least the first hunger games book before I go into it. thank you for the comment!!!
The Maidens was good for the first 75% and then it just went downhill from there. I literally kept being like I don't know why people don't like this and then we got there.

I'm one of those people whose shelves mostly contain books that I haven't read (like 95%). I only keep five star reads to loan out to others, as I'm not a re-reader myself. Is this weird? 🤣
Scythe is an ok book, the morals about murder are shallow. But the 2nd book in the series is way way better imo. I really like that one. The final one is also ok, but the 2nd one was the best by far. The thunderhead is just a super cool concept and it was executed well. It has the thoughts of the thunderhead instead the rather boring scythe diary experts.
@@KarasBookshelf I mean it's still YA fantasy/sci-fi, so if that's absolutely not your thing, no need to try. I like those things and it was a good series. And the character development/their actions were nice, I expected something way more generic after reading the first... well rather generic book.
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes made me realize that life is too short to read terrible books. I totally DNF'd it 20% in. I'm not sure why that book was written. It's like Suzanne Collin's was trying to make us feel bad for President Snow. Of course that's never going to happen because he's pure evil.
I feel like that is the only sentiment I have heard about this book and it really makes me not want to read it..... ugh such a disappointment because I feel like it had potential
"I will never read this again. I think I'm gonna keep it." Same girl, same
so glad im not alone hahahha. its just part of being a book lover, right??

Oh my goodness so many books! Out with the old, that don’t spark joy, and in with the new!
Yes!! Honestly it felt so great to do a declutter
I am currently reading Red, White & Royal Blue. Thanks for keeping your copy.
I also loved If Only I Could Tell You.
Loved watching this!! Always nice to have a good spring clean of the shelves 💜💜
Yes! Felt great to finally just go through everything! I put it off for so long lol
The Last Song is so precious to me. Absolutely cried my eyes out. Love it.
I did too! But when I read it as an adult, it had a very different impact on me than it did when I was a teenager.
Love these kinds of unhaul videos! I agree with you on Scythe! I DNF'D it 😅
Yes!! It was just not for me!

Ahh I love unhauls so much!! Great video!
Thank you so much!
Ahh I loved the way you did this! 🤗
Thank you!! Felt so great to go through everything!
You need to cancel all your plans and read Dark Matter, The Four Winds, and Project Hail Mary immediately. All 3 are absolutely amazing!

Started watching you just recently. What did you do with those books you've unhauled?
I actually put a bunch of them on PangoBooks. If you are interested, I have a storefront which is linked in the description!
New subscriber here, wonderful video and well done on the unhaul. That's a lot of books x

Hahahhhahah I love this. I have a feeling I would do that too. Just going to keep them solely for the fact that I would probably end up rebuying them.
Now you're making me want to go through my shelves! I also did not like The Last Thing He Told Me. Good work unhauling!
Thank you!!
Where do you buy most of your books?
Amazon and local bookstores!

I get rid of a book the moment I finished or dnf-ed it.
I felt the same way about Deadly Education and I love her other books.
Okay glad I am not alone!!
i loved the Ballad of Sonbirs and Snakes io thought it was really good
Okay this gives me hope then!! I really do want to read it!

this was such a fun video
So glad you enjoyed! hopefully more fun videos coming in the future!
This is such a great way to do an unhaul! I also hated A Deadly Education! Such a good concept, but not executed very well.
Yes!!! Such a shame. Could have been so great
Great video! The fifth season is the only good book in the series so you are not missing anything by not completing it!
Ok good! I was scared I was missing out with the third one but glad I’m not!
