- Looking for some alternatives to surf wax? I review two different types of clear stick on surf traction: Van Der Waal 2.0 Surf Grip and VersaTraction Deck Traction.
This was my initial impressions of the Van der Waal surf grip here:

Did you get a chance to try the surf grip out with boots? I wonder how the rubber sole would interact. Looking forward to seeing the wooden board in the future!
Also, I'm very jealous of your solo looking sesh at Martinique. It's been packed every chance I've had to get out there.
I built a chambered surfboard (7’2’‘) a year ago and it was actually quite good to surf but still weighed about 8 kilos (17.5lb) so its now just for decoration but it was very much fun to build. Im looking forward to watching your videos about building one. ;)
Hey can you do a new surfboard build series and use another type of Home Depot foam called polyisocyanurate? It comes in 4x8 2 inch thick sheets. The board has foil on one side that can be easily removed. I love watching your start to finish. Maybe just maybe you can do a retro fish build :)
Hy buddy, what option is more grippy? HexaTraction or Van der Wall 2.0 ??
Awesome review! I was wondering if you've heard of gryptalite? Thanks
I applied this stuff to 2 of my boards and ended up removing it. It was ok while wearing a wetsuit and boots but in warmer weather it ripped skin off my knees and feet when I had no protection. The manufacturers money back guarantee is bullshit. Yeah they answered my emails and asked for a receipt but then they conveniently (for them) never responded.
Thanks man I was about to buy it as a gift. But we don't wetsuit here.
Thanks much, very curious to try one of them.
I made a chambered wood surfboard. 8ft. Weighed 40lbs. I surfed it once and it filled up with water due to the glue delaminating. After that I hung it up as an art piece. I used tightbond 3 and I guess it wasn’t as water resistant as they claimed. I’m curious how you go about making yours. - Jacob
Great videos. Where do you order your thick EPS sheets from? Im from Canada too, but on the west coast.
Hmm, good luck taking that cement adhesive off bro, and that neoprene is not that tough, especially when we're putting so much pressure on it for such a length of time, not a good idea unfortunately. Thanks for the video though, trying to look into this stuff, but nothing has really evolved since the early versions of traction back in the 80s i think it was, such a long time ago now! 😄 But yep, it was around back then and nothing's really changed, odd eh?!
wich neoprene you used ?
I ONLY use Van der Wall on my boards. Bye bye wax
hello, I wish you could testing my grips , pixogrips by @pixocero
