    I just threw a Sympl front foot pad on my Rocket Wide and it felt awesome! I injured my Achilles a few years back and even though my calf strength is good my toe curl strength might never be the same so I thought I’d try something new - and it worked! I just wanted to thank you for showcasing a brand I would have never considered - it was comfortable, super grippy and it comes in white! I’m a new Sympl convert.

    My man, your garage is looking like a surf shop. ha. I might need to visit and add a new sled to the family again. Great stuff Noel. Hope you're getting some good ones. Lowers looks like it's ripping. That SE is just passing us by down here in SD.

    I think the Creatures does have a shoulder strap. You can find it in a ‘hidden’ compartment on the topside of the outside of the boardbag.

    So I live in florida and wax is pretty dumb do you think the sympl pad would be the best? And do you have to wax the pad too?

    What water temperature range do you think will be best for a Thread-x and boardshorts?
    I'm going on a trip to Bali wondering if I should bring a wetsuit vest just in case the wind gets a bit colder.

    Hello, can you tell me which site is the Sympl front deck? I went to a website that you mentioned in a previous question but did not have that model that you talked about. Thank you and continuation of the excellent work!

    do you think a 6’4” would be a little bit too big to rock a front foot pad? Im currently on a 6’4” Pyzel ShortCut. Really thinking about a front foot pad but please lmk what anyone thinks.

      I’m not much of a front foot traction guy in general so not sure my opinion is worth much.

  • @reefslug
    @reefslug 4 роки тому +1

    When you put your front foot pads down how did you measure it? Did you put the front pad where your front foot would be directly in the middle on pop up or did you move forward or backwards to compensate for turning?
    I ask because I'm about to try a front pad, but the placement that seems right for me looks furthur back than where a pro would stick it. Maybe that's because they're using it more for landing airs with feet closer to the nose?
    Any thoughts on placement would be amazing

    • @surfnshowreviews7777
      @surfnshowreviews7777  4 роки тому

      Brandon Lane Front Foot traction is pretty long... so I put mine somewhat center but favoring a little back from center cause I don’t do much airs. Your safe to go more center on the board and then wax a little in between both pads and a little towards the nose for airs.

      @@reefslug another thing is pros may ride smaller boards so it can trick the eye also the linger the board the weirder it looks but trust me doing your normal foot stance is great as you paddle on it also, do recommend looking for a longer one if you don’t want to use wax at all

    sick noel!! hey im really interested in testing a front pad, but where i live is hot all year so i just wear shortboards. do you recomend the front pad or you think the wax is the better option?

    Hey mate, thanks for this! What are your thoughts on those hexagonal traction stickers? Forgot the name. But they look really clean on board and are light, but could also be novelty? Edit: van der waal/ hexatrax etc

      @@surfnshowreviews7777 right out of the box the grip was very soft and rubbery and felt really good. I was very excited. i stuck them on my go fish because it's so forgiving for foot placement. As soon as I hit the water they became the most slippery things ever. Pop-up a bit heavy footed? Slip. Backhand turn? Slip. Frontside carve? Slip. Thenpart of the board with no stickers felt less slippery than the part with. I surfed for a good hour catching at least 10 waves. The only upside is it really sticks well to a sealskin wetsuit. Conditions: 17 degree water in Sydney. I really really wanted to like this! I wrote the van der waal team to see if I did something wrong, but honestly I can't imagine what... A friend also tried and slipped off right away. Back to wax :( :(

    I’m new to your channel. I’m here in Cali and surfed lowers this morning and thought it was a Kelly sighting but turns out it was you. Very hard to tell because you rip brother. For this trip I came out with RSPro Hexatraction on my boards and seem to be liking it. Have you used that?

    How do you remove the older traction pads?

    • @surfnshowreviews7777
      @surfnshowreviews7777  4 роки тому +5

      Take pad off and soak the board with a product called Goo Gone. You can find it at Home Depot or Lowe’s. It comes in a spray form. I also use it after I take off my wax to clean boards. Works great... just make sure you wipe board down with a wet paper towel and let dry before you apply wax or new pad again.
