my high school choir is going to sing this at our upcoming concert in May. It’s also my last year/senior year this is gonna be one of the songs where the seniors are surrounded by the lower classmates. The seniors are singing the solo part. It’s so beautiful and I hope we can really pull it off like this choir did. Absolutely beautiful.

Our choir is also performing this. Last night a female tenor auditioned for the solo. Fabulous! It's such a pleasure to sing. Just look at the smiles on their faces.

As someone who has been "the only one" standing in the front row on the left (but singing tenor) as an unpaid volunteer (I work in banking but just love music), it got lonely ...so lonely and I gave up choral singing for contemporary/gospel stuff. I miss these hits though... they're especially beautiful!!!

I got to sing this song at ACDA All-Eastern choir this year (2020). It's such a beautiful song, and I was able to be part of the additional voices the second time the soloist sang. It was me and two other people (one who was the soloist, like in this performance), and I actually felt emotion singing this song. Listening back, I still got that same rush of emotion as when I performed. It's such a powerful piece, and I want to thank you for bringing it into the world. Moments like these really make me see why I want to go into music education.

Our choir is performing this song this week. It is so beautiful, but a little tricky in the timing.
지금껏 날 위로해주거나 편안함을 주는 휴식같은 사람을 혹은 그런 가능성이 있을 법한 사람조차 거의 마주친 적이 없다는 생각이 들었어요. 착각일지 모르지만 제가 누군가에게 위로가 되었던 적은 많았다고 생각해요. 받는 것보다 주는 게 편하다 생각했고요. 아마도 제가 가장 원하는 질감의 사랑을 타인에게 주려했고 상대는 그걸 사랑이라 느끼기 어려웠겠죠. 생각이 많아지고 사랑이 점점 어려워지는 시절을 살고 있다는 생각이 들어요. 그렇지만 이런 노래들이 그래도 아직은 사랑이 전부라 믿게 만들고 또 위안을 주네요. 참 다행이에요.
I feel like I've never met a person who comforts me or makes me feel at ease, or even someone who has the potential to do that. I may be mistaken, but I think there were many times when I was comforted by someone. I thought it was easier to give than to receive. Perhaps I was trying to give someone the texture of love I wanted the most, and it was difficult for the other person to feel that it was love. I think we are living in a time when we think a lot and love is getting harder and harder. But these songs still make me believe that love is everything and give me comfort. I'm so glad.
