I think You and I are pretty similar XB. Don't let the comments get to you. Some people are touchy and expect a huge ammount of role-playing from the hermits just because some other hermits do it here and there. That's not the point of the server and yall never said it was. Love you guys! Thanks for all your hard work brining us along your minecraft adventure
It's also easy to forget that a lot of viewers are just kids and may not understand the nuances of friendships. I saw a post on Reddit the other day asking why all the Hermits seem to hate Iskall and all of the replies were either straight-up confusion or explaining how OP was misunderstanding the interactions. I couldn't find the post when I went looking for it later so I think it was removed.
xB, those of us who have been around for ages watch you for your laid-back chats, kindness to other Hermits, and cool build ideas. One of the reasons I thoroughly enjoy watching the Hermits is that no one is pushed or forced to participate in activities that aren't their thing. Watching other SMPs where you can tell some members are uncomfortable with bits or activities makes me uncomfortable. Hermits, including you, are the best for knowing where and when they add to the group shenanigans because they are comfortable and where and when they are more entertaining by acting as observers and (often very funny) commenters on the shenanigans.
I’ve only joined in on xB’s pov this season, but this is absolutely the impression I’ve gotten. I’ve been watching every pov for S10 and xB’s definitely has the vibe of sitting on a discord call chilling on Minecraft with some friends. In a way it’s more relatable since most of us are never going to be breaking the game regularly like doc or revolutionizing Minecraft builds constantly like bdubs.
" It's totally planned if it doesn't go according to plan. I planned the plan to not plan like a plan should plan" Right, totally understood. Couldn't of been more clear 🤣
Hello, xB! I usually don't comment on videos, but I would like to emphasize that those who are here following your content enjoy watching you exactly for who you are. Personally, I have really liked this season overall because the Hermits have been trying to be more authentic while also taking things at a slower, healthier pace. It seems like the "go big or go home" mentality has finally eased a bit, which is a relief to me. Just today, I was telling my boyfriend how much I like Hermitcraft because there are so many personalities here that it's impossible not to identify with one of the Hermits. I have been faithfully following since season 8, but I've noticed how my preferences for the Hermits have changed over time. I like them all very much, but I feel that over time I have come to appreciate the more peaceful episodes without so much chaos. I also understand that this is due to my current stage in life. For context: I'm 26 years old, I study and work, so my time to watch an episode is before bed, and I just want something calm to watch. Anyway, xB, I just wanted to emphasize that you know you have built your own community within the server. Your audience loves each member for their peculiarities, which is what makes each one so special and unique, and you are no different. Don't feel pressured to be something you're not! Your loyal audience will stay here, so just keep doing what you love 💛
My girlfriend talks about your season 3 base all the time, so seeing you in a monument again has been such a joy for us. I'm so glad you're having fun with it and playing around with your building! The windows are a small touch but I adore them so much. I think I need to go adjust my monument with windows.
I'm so confused the mission possible stuff isn't role-play though, the role-play stuff is the murder street thing he's doing with the other hermit. Can't believe people got mad about it omg 😂 Gonna give my XB plush such a big hug when I get it 🥰
Some missions may suggest some role play, but I think if you’re uncomfortable with a mission, forcing yourself to do it would defeat the whole purpose and intent Iskall had when making mission possible. People need to calm down.
Several of the challenges could fall under roleplay. Like the one where you have to pretend your collecting a debt. Its easy to see someone just not being into those kinds of social challenges.
People like different things. That is why it is great that there are different kind of Hermits on this server. So, do what you like, and we'll watch because we like what you do.
I really like the water pillar design! It makes me think of Guardian fins and I totally see the eye. Can't wait to see this transformation over the season!
Yay for xB content! Time to settle in for great entertainment. 🍿 Mission Possible is about doing pranks or side quests, more than RP; unless it says to speak with other Hermits. But if that’s not your thing, then people should be okay with that. 👍
Keeping it real is the best thing you can do XB. I am not a frequent watcher but from time to time I do check in. But Im glad you are adressing the issue straight up over just ignoring it. In recent years ignoring it has become such a common thing to do. I also love how direct you are in it being other peoples issue and not yours. I feel like a lot more people do it more and more and I am glad people are pushing back on it finally. You gotta do what you love doing. If something aint your thing it aint your thing. Us Hermitcraft Fans who were here for a long time (even if not frequent on your channel) will have your back no matter what.
Mission Possible is basically an arcade with challenges to get tokens, no RPG needed! Would love to see you play it but if it's not your thing, that's fine! The haters gonna hate, but you do you.
When you were working with finding a suitable and totally not distracting block placement for those front block placement. it may be good to find pattern of two like you tried, but putting orange glass in the wall so it seems purposeful and not distracting for it not being balanced.
That back portion on the orange glass where the water is (the spawning section)... you could put a couple red blocks to make it look like an angry Guardian eye. Loving the remake of S3 base!
I enjoy the diversity of the hermits and different styles. Interactions between hermits are fun because that's the purpose of being on a server. Beyond that, if I want something different, I'll watch a hermit that does that. I watch you because I like you as you are.
good choice on the windows there xb. orange is good color too! also consider blue campfires or dripstone spikes to reduce drop chamber depth if you want.
I love that you do you, it would be so annoying that people think you dislike or hate Iskall or anyone else because you doing join or follow a game or something they are doing regardless of the reason, I love that your episodes are more like a block for block, you openly talk through your process
The side view of the glass, prismarine, and water column kind of looks like a fin. From the back side, you may be able to make it look like an eye ... (and then he says it). Great episode as always, xB!
You could have a "pet" elder guardian in between the up and down tubes, if it's not problematic. But I could see it being a problem, so maybe just a few guardians, you know? Or nothing at all. I do like the orange glass though maybe some white, and you should make the sectioned off bit, a guardian like you said, that would be neat.
it is an absolute pleasure to watch you build this base. i started watching your videos back in season 3 when you where building the first version of this base. this is an amazing throwback thank you!
yeah copper would be a great addition to that base. fully oxidised can help with texture and not oxidised would be a great contrast and go nice with the orange glass
You’re getting me excited again to approach my guardian temple project! I got about 90% done draining it and got burnt out. That orange glass just feels so good!
The reason I like hermitcraft over other servers is because of how genuine it is. It isn’t all about roleplay, it’s about friends having fun. I don’t like watching roleplay it’s fun to do to be goofy, but not serious servers dedicated to it.
Great progress xB! The orange glass looks great and I like the water column pillar. Maybe try a touch of dark prismarine in the design to match it up with the spawn chamber aesthetic?
I love that your one of the hermits that don't do role play. I'm too grown for that stuff. I just like watching yalls progress making a world in the minecraft world
In the centre between the spawn chambers where you have the dark prismarine blocks if you change them out for stairs and alternate how you place them that would give you a little more depth in the centre
You could use ice instead of water buckets to make the water. This will make a water source and would be easier to fill since you can hold more ice. That should easy since you have ice all around.
But the contrast is what makes the windows cool! And glass is more see-through anyway; with (oxidized) copper grates, you almost might as well have never made a window at all, I feel like.
I need this chill design and building episode today. Coming back from girls camp to our community production of Little Mermaid ending and having to strike the set and now dealing with all the props...I just needed sit down and relax a bit. Fingers crossed for a stream this week😉
For hiding the dispensers in the spawn chamber can't you put a top slab right below the dispenser then they will be waterlogged when trigged. This is just a tought I have didn't test it as I don't really play minecraft myself I only watch.
XB, you roleplay with people you are comfortable with. Acting requires lot of trust since you put yourself in a vulnerable place. You may not think you like roleplaying, but your bits with Vintagebeef at Half Foods have been gold. By the way, HF needs a store sign, a logo, and advertising! You had it with mark-ups until their nose bleed. I was hoping for more shady sales and marketing tactics, like the way a famous coffee shop cannabilizes its own stores by installing stores on every corner. Why does it matter?! A sale is a sale! Half Foods must expand! "Half foods for wholesome foods."
man, screw them people who think theyre so entitled and demand how you interact and live your life. absolutely loving the base so far m8, im thoroughly Living for all the guardian headcanon fodder hehe.

Hmmmm...xb i wonder if a lot of the astetic problems would be solved by making the wings of the build one block bigger. But I'm not sure how that would affect the base portion
Those blocks pretending to be crenallations... i think the issue is them being centered on what looks like an outer pathway around the monument. What if you move them out one block and use either a double or single spacing. Often times the maths will work out if you expand or constrict by one block. its like trying to decorate on evens when the walls are odds, just doesnt work out without vertical slabs for off center "full blocks"... Ooh there yah go man, use the Ocean Monument as an example to accompany your reasoning for adding vertical slabs as well as stairs, slabs and walls of all blocks that dont have them but should because others of similar material makeup do... Terracottas looking at you Sandstone!
I think even the stair layer in the 3x3 water columns could be water without guardians spawning, because they require water above as well. As long as the light level is above 0 it should also not spawn drowned or (glow) squid.
My advice to people that don't like your approach to content is to move on and watch someone else. I've not been around as much as I like the last few seasons, as life has taken my time away, but honestly xB, the only person on UA-cam whose content I would put higher than yours is the one and only Etho himself - I mean, Mr. Slab is just in a state of his own, and Mr. Crafted is as close as anyone can be to reaching that same state. So screw the haters, and keep doing what you do. Thank you for the years of entertainment when I've been able to enjoy it.
9:47 You can either have 1 block gaps or 6 blocks gaps to have gaps of equal sizes. The other option would be to change the monument, going up one more layer, then you can have it with 2 blocks gaps or 3 blocks gaps.
It’s very silly that people think they know everything about what’s going on. xB’s content is great because it’s xB! Hope the negative comments don’t get you down, man, you’re doing great!
"Just chill out" is a valid advice to almost every fanbase ever 😂 I'm over 40 and never get to (?) live youngsters "I'm a fan and will tell you how you should do things" phase, but it seems excessive way to look at things
The last time I built a guardian farm in java I had to make an AFK spot way up in the sky to get ANY guardians to spawn in it. Kinda strange considering that they had no problem spawning in there while I was draining the freaking thing. I just built a guardian farm in bedrock, just for prismarine. I don't need the xp. I made 8 spawn pods, 4×4×4 with 2×2×2 water tanks. At the bottom I put magma blocks with minecart hoppers to collect the drops. It produces plenty of prismarine for me. Took a good bit of iron, but that's why I have an iron farm. I kinda wonder why you tore down the original monument and didn't change the design to be more user friendly..? I mean, you could keep the same type look, but maybe raise it even higher...like put the monument at surface level, and just use it as an entrance? I dunno...it just seemed like a lot of work for such a small change.
Tbh i really wish mojang would revisit the momuments because of the slabs and stairs that have been released in the game since it was originally designed. Also i would want them to rework the dimensions a bit to get rid of the evenness and oddity that comes in the original Monument

I was wondering why he assumed it was Roleplay, THIS makes sense.
There are roleplay missions though. Not sure how he could avoid them. But I think he's actually got a mission to trick his audience for an episode.
Like he said just chill
8:10 now that you pointed it out, it will trigger me so much everytime i go to a monument :D
Then my plan was successful! :P
If you do every other block, no two block gaps it works out. So there is a good solution for if you need it! :)
@@xBCrafted If you do every other block it works, just letting you know in case you want that as a solution. Nice and symmetrical.
That orange glass is so good with the prismarin blocks ❤

Love the fin and eye motif in the pillars! That worked out so well!
Oooo! ❤ I like the abstract guardian sculpture pillar! There’s an organic vibe that it brings. Really cool!
You could have a "pet" elder guardian in between the up and down tubes, if it's not problematic. But I could see it being a problem, so maybe just a few guardians, you know? Or nothing at all. For the front blocks. I feel making gaps: 1-2-1-1-2-1 might work no? Basically putting a block on the spot at 9:24.
The pillars could be used as storage areas on the inside for specific items, or set up as a smelting area.
Hope this gives you some ideas
The cool things about Hermitcraft is different people having different approaches.
So you do you XB. Love the build.
You’re getting me excited again to approach my guardian temple project! I got about 90% done draining it and got burnt out. That orange glass just feels so good!

Hey xb! To reduce the contrast and to keep the overall color scheme have you thought of using copper grates for the window

I think oxidised copper and prismarine go together really well especially if theres going to be farms everywhere!
On your sea lanterns you can add some glow lichen maybe for some designer type lights.
Oh dang it , now I feel all inspired to go drain a monument too. Your base is looking really good.
For hiding the dispensers in the spawn chamber can't you put a top slab right below the dispenser then they will be waterlogged when trigged. This is just a tought I have didn't test it as I don't really play minecraft myself I only watch.

It’s very silly that people think they know everything about what’s going on. xB’s content is great because it’s xB! Hope the negative comments don’t get you down, man, you’re doing great!
i exerienced season 3 with the original guardian monument, and now im getting to experience it nearly 10 years laster
You just keep being you xB, Laid back and lovely! That's why I watch you
That is 100% why I won’t base on a guardian temple lol. I like symmetry.
Loving the water pillers!
Great episode! I really enjoy seeing you pop up on my feed
some waxed copper would look nice with the pris and orange glass
lol i've been looking at too much oxidized cut copper and forgot that the texture of dark prismarine has 16 squares, not 4
Another episode Awww Yeah!
great video xb! loving how ur base is coming along
Xb : roleplay not my time
Also xb: literally traveling through dimensions with keralissimo in season 9
In very small doses.
Really enjoyed that one... a lot!
Did i hear lil jon in there??? .... til the sweat drips... awww yeah!
Tbh i really wish mojang would revisit the momuments because of the slabs and stairs that have been released in the game since it was originally designed. Also i would want them to rework the dimensions a bit to get rid of the evenness and oddity that comes in the original Monument
beef leaving abruptly right before your nice message sent me haha
Beautiful color palette and eye appealing symmetry 🩵
