Much as I love this sim and all the hard work that goes into it I think we need a Far East Theatre update now, Like the magnificent 'Il 2 Pacific Fighters' was back in the day.
years and years ago people were already saying this on the Il2 forums, the dev team always comes back saying that they dont have enough data to make an accurate simulation.
I bought it because I love the 109. I’m a mediocre dogfighter and not a super knowledgeable test pilot but I’ve spent a few hours dogfighting AI 51s, 47s, Spitfires and bomber killing at 6.5k-7.5k alt. I found that it climbs well at high altitude and the handling is reliable. Once it’s introduced into multiplayer I easily see myself climbing up high and cruising and looking for BnZ opportunities.
As much as I would lile to own all of the german warbirds (again), this one is a hard pass, as it is not justifiable to spend a decent amount of money on a plane that is only slightly different for me. Thank you for making this video.
Yes IT is 109 but in 8000m+ scenario IT is faster than K4 so it is the fastest german prop in this game at high alt but still slower than allied p51 p47 or spit XIV but it can fight with them. Other 109's cant do anything at 8000m. So for me its more different than Spitfire bubbletop from standard version. Cheers
On very high alt it is much better plane with much more power and thus much better performance. It is faster, climbs faster and overall has better handling up high. It all comes at a very little downgrade in performance in lower altitudes. It is only couple kmh slower at deck.
mk108 must be more powerful, I ges ... In terms of the impact effect, and in terms of the sounds of the surface, and in terms of the size of the tracer mark
For me its worth. Its same speed on deck as g6late and much faster at high altitude. And looks much better without those bulbs. You can pretend to be K4 ;)

@@ColdmanSnowball One developer wrote at Steam that they will soon announce news about further development of Great Battles which probably means informations about new DLC for IL-2. Let´s hope it will be Battle of Berlin with all above mentioned planes 🙂

I would prefer rather TA-152H/C, FW-190A-9, Bf-109 G-10, Yak-3 or La-7.
