Willys Jeep Wheel Bearing SETUP [easy to follow steps]

How to install Willys Jeep front brake drum, axle hub and wheel bearings to ensure a smooth ride. The axle hub has wheel studs pressed through the drums and is installed on the spindle with greased wheel bearings.

During the harsh winter months in Canada we decided to take the Willys apart, fix a few parts, and get it back on the road. Then repeat this the next winter. During the winter of 2021 we rebuilt the brakes and basic engine upgrades (spark plugs, water pump, distributor, ignition coil, etc.). THIS winter of 2022 we are tackling to replace the transmission and transfercase but finding lots of other problems deep within the engine. I noticed you just set the cup in. Aren't they supposed to be pressed in? when I removed my old ones I had to knock them out on my 55 CJ-3B. Thanks John

Brian,
Drivers retainer clip is thinner than groove on spindle. Both sides, Passenger retainer clip was missing
I doubled clips and two fits groove perfectly, is that right?
I can move spindles in and out, HOW much tolerance movement is allowable?
