Yo Calvin the badge on the front grille isn’t a factory badge so what people do is just use the badge that goes on the bootlid which is about £30 off eBay and they glue it underneath the gti badge on the front grille. So I recommend just buying the bootlid badge and gluing it on under the gti badge

Calvin the xenons were an option on all MK5 golfs, they came standard only on the R32

Hey Calvin, if you're not going to get a replacement plastic engine cover for it, you can remove the oil filler neck so that the cap flush fits the rocker cover - plenty of vids on UA-cam of how to do this 👍🏻

The mk5 would make much more sense than a mk4 for resale. Although they do bring in more value the mk4 are nearly 20 years old and have 10x more problems with interiors and those parts cost a small fortune.
Looks and coolness factor goes to the mk4 but sensibility, daily driving, and performance the mk5 wins hands down.
Chris I agree that the mk4 has the looks but my point was more about the advances in dsg haldex brakes and chassis make the mk5 a better option. As for the gti vs r32 I prefer the r32 mk5 with the right wheels and styling the r looks much better than the gti but stock vs stock gti does looks more sporty. Ps this is subjective and I own a mkv r32 so I might be biased lol
@Chris mk7.5* all day IMO, mk6 do look great just the performance leaves you wanting more from a turbo 4 banger.

Those wind-deflectors look nice, but in reality ADD noise and allow moisture into your car .so you open your car in the morning and have condensation on the inside of the windows.

Ebay did used to sell the odd ED:30 front badges..I've seen a few in the past....Best bet is contact a few scrappers nationwide to see if you can either have one delivered from a written-off car or pop down and unscrew it yourself..Its worth a try mate....As for "Wind Deflectors"..mint on a 3 door..they look so good..subtle but naughty..On a 5 door however..no..no..No wind deflectors on a 5 door. They only suit, IMO..3 door cars..especially golfs....

how did you get the car through MOT with the xenon headligts as you need washer jets installed to clean them and they have to work..... . I had this problem on my A4 when i put the S4 headlights in. You must a had boy who could swing it for you lad lol. 50 quid on back bumper when she went in 😉

I love that you don’t just get a car in and flip it, you go the extra mile to make sure the cars are mint before you move them on, most dealers don’t do that.
Reckon you will struggle getting 6k for it. You'll make the money up from content though so wouldnt worry to much. I'd say give them what they need fresh mot and gone. Taking them to top garages that charge doe for thr work just doesnt make sence on this kind of cars. You bought it for the money and added another 3 k on top doing stuff that's not really worth it unless your keeping it

How's it going to pass an mot Calvin??!! I put xenon in my golf and they failed it on mot because there was no built in bumper washers to clean them!!! Light splatters everywhere on xenon when dirty??!
