Akane and Isabella from The Promised Neverland reflect a trend I hope goes on strong. Of morally grey/outright terrible, three dimensional women in anime.
Akane may look pretty but by all means she’s a callously temperamental and childish control freak with powers of a god. Who would crush you just for the pettiest inconvenience your existence brings her. Isabella is an abusive, psychotically manipulative figure in authority that frequently hurts the very children she claims to love. However there not stale nor are they completely good nor completely evil.
There both awesome characters but terrible people cause more female characters need to be morally grey or terrible. Make horrible decisions, be villainous, be real people. Great video my dude👍🏾
I watched this for kaiju battles and Rikka's thicc, squishy thighs but stayed for the in-depth character analysis.
