Also, I'm not that proud of this video honestly. It's a bit of a mess same as me at the moment. it's supposed to be about the setting of the Monstergarden though I haven't done any major drawings to show that setting off. all the video has are rough sketches, as I'm not good enough at environments yet to deliver on the world's ideas. I'll make sure to hopefully redo this video like a proper intro into the world that it deserved to be. I am still deciding to post it just because knowing how I work if I hadn't finished it and posted it, it would have been clogging up my mind. Not allowing me to continue work on anything else until it was done.
the simple juxtaposition of one civilization looking up and the other looking down fighting one another is so satisfyingly creative
I'm glad we get an entire view of your world, it's really cool to see the baseplate of your design.
Remember that the reason people are flocking to your channel is that you are channeling pure self expression. Your aesthetic preferences mixed with your own narrative devices are what people are interested in. Keep doing that and you'll not only keep people around but enjoy the process. Love your work.
Seeing glimpses of your past creature work blows my mind because I’m only now starting to get a grasp of how vast, diverse, and beautiful your portfolio really is, and it’s wild
I love your storytelling, its so fun just to think about it.
You're storytelling is so intriguing to me man, It always feels like the implied depth is just so DEEP Leaves me wanting more and more.
Never have I ever clicked on a video this fast before!
Don't apologize for the quality of your work! Your dedication and enjoyment are shown clearly in your art and I think a good thumbnail like you made of the world pillar is super evocative; it doesn't always have to lead to an ultra-refined piece.
Really love the dark, almost gothic vibe of the world with trenchpunk aesthetics, really reminds me of mike franchina’s work
I love the concept of world pillars in fiction and mythologies. I have 4 pillars holding up the sky in my own work-in-progress (4 corners of the world cliche). What I like about yours is the city that has sprung up around it - such a cool idea and really shows the immense SIZE of the Pillar. And your art.. my GOD so good.
My man... You went from 400 subscribers to 140k in 10 days... This is Insane!
I think that being an artist will always come with negative emotions of doubt and anxiety on anything you design. Such is the cruelty of creativity.
Getting to know a world through weird details first and overall truths later is also fun imo
For the whole 'design incompatibility' I think the game Kenshi does that really well. its, at the same time a post-apocalypse and fantasy at the same time. I don't know if that means anything but I really like it and I think your whole thing matches the vibe, or at least you are good enough at designing that you can do pretty much anything you want. Merging Steam-Punk, Sci-Fi and Fantasy have always been the goal of what I want to write, though I am not very good.
i've found your channel a few days ago and now i wait for your videos like it's christmas. your art is stunning and your ideas are brilliant.
Wow. I build worlds in private and I see, how I should draw more of the stuff. I am mediocre in drawing, but your story seems to gain so much from the drawings.
just want you to know that you've inspired me to start writing again :)
The ability to see something in your mind and bring it into reality to share with the rest of us is a skill you should be very proud of. The dedication and creativity it takes to do something like that really blows my mind
What drives me here is thought process, even fascinates me. Not many creators actually shares such pretty intimate things
damn, this world is fascinating. I'm already imagining myself playing a soulslike where I'm exploring and fighting monsters in this setting.
