If we’re honest, this conversation is a challenging one for church leaders. Talking with and about our LGBTQ+ friends can generate fear and anxiety. It’s a conversation that’s deeply personal, highly emotional, and often confusing. We want to welcome people with open arms, showing grace, while remaining anchored in the truth of scripture. Caring for people in that reality can be overwhelming. But this conversation is so important - there’s a lot on the line. So, we hope as you watch, that Art’s teaching and best practices for loving the LGBTQ+ community serve as a guide for your church.
Art Pereira is the Director of Community Care for Revoice, a ministry that supports and encourages sexual minority Christians. During his work hours, Art spends much of his time providing care for LGBTQ+ Christians and helping local churches disciple and care for the LGBTQ+ community. With over a decade of experience in local church Youth Ministry, Art has a heart for discipleship, pastoral care, and the next generation of Christ’s church. He values community, dignity, and beauty, and enjoys sharing life with the spiritual family God is building through and for him.

Very interesting hard work and the ministry about gay christian ,as a single christian born again in Africa there is so much fear and anxiety no love ,no gay friend but one day one time the lord God will help us to overcome in the mighty name of Jesus Christ .

Step 1: Stop using the term, "LGBTQ+ Christians". There is no such thing as a Christian who knowingly, intentionally, and unrepentantly lives in open rebellion to Christ and His Word.
Step 2: Give them the gospel so they can repent of their sin/rebellion against Christ and find salvation in Him, so they can avoid the eternal judgment that is Hell.
