Using VW since 2014, nothing can replace the feeling this brand can provide. 2014 Jetta TDI, 2015 Polo mpi and 2017 Vento tdi dsg, 10 years after jetta and polo sold both unable to find proper replacement. Will hold on to Vento as long as possible currently run 64k kms.
You are creating a cult for the auto enthusiasts especially fir the VW lovers. I agree with you in many ways. I have been owning VAG car aince 2013 and have been through a lot to understand this brand and these cars. I bought my first car as Polo 1.2 mpi and i have seen the time when i used to pay 12k to 15k for service. Have paid haptic amount for the part replacement as well. But one thing is very addictive in this car is the drivability and performance nothing like any other cars. Now i am owning a Slavia 1.5 DSG and enjoying it even more than before. The new VW car owners i must tell you enjoy this car and today's scenario VAG offers better service than i have seen. Its not that risky as it used to be before. Don't worry too much bcoz in india there are hardly any such kind of cars available in this price range and no brand can offer auch kind of drivability like VAG cars.
I totally agree that the service experience has improved significantly over the years, making it easier for new owners to enjoy the full potential of these machines without the earlier stress.
Great video. German cars are engineered well, but you need to maintain it as per its manual and all do’s and don’ts are mentioned in its manual. For eg, it uses dry clutch gearbox, if you keep revving hard in bumper to bumper, DSG will overheat and cause problem. If you put low quality fuel, eg GT needs 95Octane, then it will degrade performance and impact the vehicle. Like this, several preferences are mentioned in the manual. The performance is phenomenal, at 20L approx, you get 70% experience of an A4 and maybe 90% of A3 (discontinued now). It’s a car to cherish and encouraged to be bought. Otherwise brands like VW will leave India. Those looking for reliability and don’t care so much about engineering and performance should go with Japanese and stay away from European. It’s all about what you care.
You think Japanese Reliability is Without Engineering?? Japanese cars are better engineered than your germans. German cars are Specifically Designed to Suck more money from customer under the feeling of Better Driving .. its a Fake Engineering
Fully agreed with your opinion, and actually the cheapest car can also incur a significant amount in maintenance. LOWER arm, suspension, discs, drum, headlight assembly, gear lever mechanism, clutch plateband pressure plate etc costs will suddenly surprise, apart from insurance and fuel cost.
My Skoda Kushaq 1.5 DSG Monte Carlo is 25 days old.. Clocked 2000 kms already.. The only slight issue I see with the car is the ride quality that feels stiff for Bangalore roads.. Like Verna has a better VFM compared to Virtus or Slavia. I really love this brand and had a polo before but still.
If you want to buy a car and use it like a car(to travel with family and use it to go from one place to another) then go for what you feel more value for money, but when you want to own emotion, true german car feelings, then surely virtus slavia, they are for those who love cars and cars are emotion

@@TheDeepSinghal it's a 2016 vento single owner car with 53,500 kms done. owner has agreed to sell it for 6.8L, this is in bangalore where the car prices are expensive
@@havocspree But as a turbo car with a complicated gearbox, it needs to be thoroughly examined. And on a better note, TSI DSG is somewhat less risky than TDI DSG as far as I have heard. However, Virtus/Taigun DSG cars are tuned to be a bit slower for better reliability. But they are not very comfortable driving within city limits, as the gear engages and disengages continuously in stop-go traffic. Sometimes the car won't crawl without throttle input. And there is no hill hold assist. So the car sometimes rolls backwards if no throttle is given. And DSG cars should be put in neutral when stopped in traffic instead of holding on to brakes in Drive mode, in order to avoid premature failure.
