- Опубліковано 29 вер 2024
- Capt Eric and John review the new and improved Shimano Nasci spinning reel (C3000HGFC). We do a side by side comparison to the later version in an attempt to show the pros and cons. I still can't believe they are only charging $99 for this reel with everything it is packing! #WeBeTailing #CrystalRiver #ShimanoNasci

Let us know what you think of the Shimano Nasci. Thanks
It is my first Fishing Reel and i have 11kg Braid on the 4000 Reel with i think 9kg of Drag Power but if i put it on like 6 kg The Line thing is bending is that normal or will it not last long if i push it up so hard
@@spayrex_ Normally you would not want to run the drag all the way down to its max. On a rod reel combo something has to give or something will break. You should not have any deflection in the bail, if you loosen the drag and problem continues, return it for a replacement. Thanks for the question.
@@WeBeTailing no im not maxing it i was just curius on 4kg or so its not bending
@@spayrex_ There should be no movement on that part. I believe you have a one year warranty, keep an eye on it, if it gets worse, return it. Thanks
@@WeBeTailing I now know evrything the Shimano Nasci Rotor is out of Plastic it can bend because its not out of aluminium where it doesnt bends and if there is too much force it will just snap off lol
I have both of them in 4000 size. Great reels for price. Smooth feel and experience 👍
I just got the Shimano 2500FCHG and it’s making a slight grinding noise out of the box? It still hasn’t been spooled and has the sticker on it. Now, with that being said it’s very smooth… I spin the handle and let go and it does several rotations without any resistance. My only concern is that noise… did it not get lubricant somewhere in manufacturing? I mean it sounds like it needs a couple drops of lubricant somewhere. I don’t have the Shimano brand but I know they use a mineral oil and I have Ballistol which is probably the worlds best mineral oil made in Germany IMHO. I can’t see it hurting it but for a brand new *still in the box* reel to make that sound has me worried it could be a problem in the future. Other than that the reel is smooth and looks fantastic for $100!!! Any insight on what that noise could be?
New out of the box should have no noise at all. That being said, check that the drag washers are properly held in by the spring retainer. Sometimes it is not seated properly and can make a noise. Possibly lubricate the moving parts, and if it is still making noise return it for a new one. Thanks for your question.
I have the same problem with my Nasci reel.
@@matejporubsky8118 please let me know if it is getting worse or has stayed the same. If it got worse did you return it? Thanks
I heard some review its normal just the rotor sound...i sound too but i didnt know have someone didnt sound...
Sounds like the 2023 Sedona will have almost everything the 2022 Nasci has. Would love to see a comparison on that.
Could do a battle of budget reels.
You guys do a great review, you should do more rod, reel and maybe side by side versus type videos.
Your much better and more in-depth than most reel reviewers here on UA-cam!!
Thanks, that awesome!
An online fishing shop suggested the Nasci and I bought one , I liked it so much I purchased a second and plan on buying more
For the money, it is a great reel! I have several in my fleet now.
Great review! I just picked up a Nasci 4000XG and was looking for the carbon drag upgrade and they have a loooong list of STRADIC carbon washers and washers for every Nasci “except” the 4000!!
Please help on what I need parts wise…….. I should’ve went with the 5000, I bought it for King Salmon fishing here in Alaska fwiw.
Thank you-Ron
My understanding is that that 4000 and 5000 are the same, with the exception being the 5000 spool has a larger line capacity.

I think your right, lol!! Thanks!
Hope to see some more reel reviews from you soon👍🏻
I spend my money on the rod not the reel. 100 dollars is about my reel limit. I have two of these and want two more but they are getting hard to find here in SE Florida in the local shops since they can't keep them in stock.
Great little reel, Captains Cove Outfitters, where we shoot the show, keeps them in stock.
@@WeBeTailing SE Florida as in West Palm Beach :). Thanks for trying to help. I do appreciate that.
I assume this replaced the old Symetre model which I have 3. Maybe this might be my next reel as they are really reliable and do everything reels twice the price do which is catch fish.
That reel is still hanging around. The Nasci is more similar to the older Stradic models.
@@WeBeTailing Cheers mate
nice one sir!!
SOLD !! 👍 Much appreciated.
I believe you will like it!
What are the differences between nasci and stradic ?
First off about $100. The Stratic is a touch lighter and comes with the carbon fiber drag washers. Both reels are great but if you are looking for a very light rod and reel combo, go with the Stradic.
@@WeBeTailing tnx
Which is the best for you?
I use the 3000, this works well for the fish type I have in my area.
