Do you just stick the straw in or do you have to push it through a barrier of plastic? It’s not working for me

You have to hit the right spot. There is very narrow open passage for the straw to get through. The surroundings have barriers.

Yes you have to insert the straw into the narrow passage between the part that they have written valve and half sized cellophane paper. It is harder to find. I was struggling a lot too🥰
