  • With inflated helium costs (see what we did there?), the last thing you need is a foil balloon losing helium. Craig shows you the proper way to inflate a foil balloon and how to tie a ribbon on the tab to avoid damaging the balloon valve. This also allows you to reinflate the balloon if needed. Easy peezy!

    I've bought foil balloons online that seem to be sealed and it's hard to get the valve through. Does a good quality foil balloon seal itself when blown

    • @LoftusInternational
      @LoftusInternational  Рік тому

      Hi Ileana, couple of things you can try - on the valve, there may be a plastic flap you need to get under to inflate. Some of our balloons have that. Another thing, when you fill the balloon and remove the inflator, make sure the valve is flat. Tie any ribbons below the valve as well. Here is a link to watch Craig flatten out the valve so you can see what I'm talking about: ua-cam.com/video/xbrl6bI79Qw/v-deo.html

    • @LoftusInternational
      @LoftusInternational  2 роки тому +2

      Hi there! You can as for a "hand held air inflator" at a party store. It pumps air into foil or latex balloons and is perfect for a home party. It will only use air, so of course it won't float, but most large foil balloons come with hanging tabs now. You can use ribbon or monofilament line (fishing line) to hang the balloons. By using air, you'll also save yourself some $! Here is a link to see what they look like. www.loftus.com/pages/tyingballoonshandpumps We are a wholesale only distributor, so you'll have to check your local stores to purchase a hand held air inflator.

    I occasionally have to fill foil balloons at my job. Do all valves automatically stop so you won't overfill? I'm so scared of popping a balloon!

    • @LoftusInternational
      @LoftusInternational  2 роки тому +8

      Hi Kuduk, if you use a Foil Regulator (like the one in the video), it will automatically stop once the balloon is full. If you don't have this kind of regulator, you're going to have to watch it. Typically once the balloon is full, you'll see a lot of the wrinkles disappear along the seams. Hope that helps!

      @@LoftusInternational So almost a year later and I've blown up more balloons than I can count. Our tank must have a foil regulator, because I purposely tried to pop one but couldn't. But I've learned just by feel and sound when the balloon is full. Ironically I actually don't blow up balloons much anymore because we're always out of helium! Thanks so much for this video and your response; it really helped ease my fears. 😀

    So... when you filled it how did you close the hole of where you filled it from? sorry first timer and i have a dog snoring in my ear 🥴😂

    • @LoftusInternational
      @LoftusInternational  3 роки тому +10

      Hi Hanna! On all foil balloons, there's a valve that will automatically close when you remove the balloon from the inflator. That's why it's important to tie the balloon where indicated like Craig shows. This way, the valve doesn't get crimped or damaged, and if the balloon naturally loses helium (if it's been up for a while), you can reinflate the balloon using the same hole. It's a trade secret - don't tell anyone! :-) Hopefully your puppy had some sweet dreams!

    Why did it go down if you blow up

    • @LoftusInternational
      @LoftusInternational  Рік тому

      There is a valve on the balloon that allows helium or air inside, and then it stops the helium or air from leaking. If the valve is damaged or if you tie a ribbon around the valve area, the helium or air will slowly leak out. It might also be a small leak in the seams of the balloons as well. If you smooth out the valve and tie where it shows the dotted line, you have done everything you can to keep that helium or air inside the balloon. Hope that helps!

    How much should a store charge their customer if they want to refill their balloon. What is the best price for a helium refill in a grocery store

    • @LoftusInternational
      @LoftusInternational  4 роки тому +2

      Hi Charlie! Here's what Craig said: "Grocery stores in our regional area are charging the same as if they bought the balloon from them, and they cannot guarantee that they will float or be defective free. If the original purchase was in your store, I may give them a break. I would keystone the price of your helium in that case."
      Does that help with your question?
