I have no experience with foil balloons, but I bought one for my wife's birthday. It's a Betallic, and it comes with no instructions. So I went to their website -- no instructions there either. So your video saved me! Thank you so much for taking the time to create and post it!!
I honestly didn’t expect much when I started this video - how complicated can inflating a balloon be? 😂 I was pleasantly surprised! Invaluable tips from a pro, and very well put together video. Consider your like button popped! 😂❤🎉
I have a really really daft question. I need to inflate some 18inch foil balloons. If I fill them with air, add a ribbon and weight, will they float? I know its a stupid question.
I prefer to use air as there's so much more scope for creativity. You can easily put an air-filled balloon onto a base to give it height, then add more balloons, bows or flowers etc for added interest. I've got several videos on my channel showing how you can do this. Here's a video of how to put a foil balloon on a base - hope it helps: ua-cam.com/video/qsKWSKjjU0c/v-deo.htmlsi=jZIs97keKeVtS2m-
Yes, happy to. I've just added a link for you in the description of this video which will take you to the exact hand pump I use and highly recommend. Take care, Melanie
Foil balloons of this type and size have a self-sealing valve, so you don't need to seal the balloon. It's usually the very small foil balloons that don't have a valve and therefore require sealing.
Hi Emma. Thank you. Balloons inflated with air last considerably longer than helium-filled balloons. I've had displays last weeks, but it very much depends how they are kept. If it's very cold, the balloons will appear to deflate.
Excuse me, I'm not a native speaker of English, but I want to confirm the question about the valve, may I ask if the balloon seems to be sealed at valve, then "Poking a membrane with a straw to make the valve" or "There was a hole already, we just found it with straws", which one is correct?(or any other possibilities and how to deal them? I REALLY don't want to pop my limited edition of balloon, please~)
In most cases you should be able to insert your balloon hand pump and start to inflate. However, the valve on some balloons can appear to be sealed and you have to carefully open the valve using something like a straw. I had this same problem at the beginning of this video (link below) which may help you. I use a special tool which I find useful but a straw would work well. Hi Ivette. When a balloon is filled with air it does not float as the balloon is too heavy to float. You can make some displays with air-filled balloons. Take care, Melanie ☺️
Thanks ! You are a life saver. I battled with inflating a foil balloon and did not want to add helium. I thought the air was not possible
Hi Celina. You're very welcome. I'm so glad this helped. Take care ☺️

It's not a daft at all. No, they won't float. You end to fill them with helium for them to float.
@@BalloonArtworks thank you. I am not confident using helium, never done it before and this looked easier!

Are you able to share which hand pump you use or recommend?
Thanks!!

Do you have to seal the balloon so the air doesn’t escape
Foil balloons of this type and size have a self-sealing valve, so you don't need to seal the balloon. It's usually the very small foil balloons that don't have a valve and therefore require sealing.
A great video! How long would these usually last when inflated this way?

hi! is it possible to inflate using a hand pump that has a needle head?
Sorry, I haven't used that type of hand pump but I would think you'd need to attach an appropriate nozzle to the needle head.
Thank you so much 😊
You're very welcome ☺️
Thank you so much!
You're very welcome - glad it's useful 😊

@@BalloonArtworks Thank you very much, I decided to try your method with some balloons from the same manufacturer, hope I will be successful♥️
You're very welcome.
Can you use helium?
Yes, if you want the balloon to float.
So they go up like helium?
Hi Ivette. I'm not sure I understand. Are you asking whether air-filled balloons float like helium balloons?
@@BalloonArtworks sorry I meant to ask …do the stay up like helium…like float up
Hi Ivette. When a balloon is filled with air it does not float as the balloon is too heavy to float. You can make some displays with air-filled balloons. Take care, Melanie ☺️
What if you have a pump and foil balloons
It depends - some electric inflators can damage the valve. I'd give it a try to see what happens.
Wow
Thank you 😊
