This young brother lost a lot. His dad was a big time GD and was in jail his whole childhood. They killed his cousin and he died right next to him. Also his first real artist. They shot at him. His homies protected him and helped push him, working their way through the Chicago rap scene. They went to jail, they died, he became the big homie. They killed one of his best homies and only artist making him money and not just an expense and then taunted him in songs. They killed his brother making money at a club promoting, outside Chicago. All these killing came with taunting and pride is a MFer. They broke in his house, his wife had to shoot back. I say all that to say, things have consequences, and but for the grace of God, i might have been in this situation or you. You learn from it if you can and prayers to the brother. I don't think Durk was turning the corner until he realized the FEDS was on him. Most times when you see a 180 so quickly, there's usually something brewing. Look at how Diddy tried to make an image change.
I know you weren’t talking about this but I’m so happy that you mentioned Juice WRLD and specifically XXXTENTACION, I feel in the hip hop community he is never given the credit he deserves, remember he’s the only one to top Drake besides Kendrick but that’s off a controversy so it’s a little different, on top of that he’s still topping his own records in streams on Spotify. He had such a talent and I’m so sad to have seen him go like especially with a son on the way, he was an inspiration in my life and I still feel connected to him in his music and it’s helped me through a lot of hard times, same with Juice WRLD he was such an amazing person and, at least in my opinion, the best freestyler out there.
I’m not sure how big his audience is but if it’s large, yt won’t do anything about it unless there’s direct tangible evidence he broke the tos. And even then, he might just get a strike. We don’t really hear too many people being banned on yt because it makes creators most of their money and they are a lot more careful to follow the rules. I think the best way to get ak tf out here is to discourage people from watching him. Creators need to stop reacting to him. If enough people do that, his impact and presence will fade.
Long time TCM subscriber, ever since leaving HHDX doing the breakdowns. Super glad to see the channel getting more of the recognition it deserves! I liked some of Durks music, but I got to say... It's sad to see a young man with so much going for him, all the money, millions of fans, his whole life ahead of him, throw it all away. And how could *anyone* expect any outcome other than this or death when he's spoke on it in every other song he's put out for YEARS!? Man, rich people can get away with anything, ALMOST. I know music lyrics shouldn't be held against someone in a legal situation but with the amount of information the public knows about this whole situation is really hard to claim it's just a story, a fictional tale of what could have happened. STOP SELF SNITCHING!! Understand I am in no way condoning these alleged actions, but If he really felt he had to "slide for Von" he has the money that it could have happened quietly and he could retain some kind of plausible deniability. But then he wouldn't have gotten the street cred. I hope it was worth it, cuz this man had a lot, if not "had it all" and threw it all away and had to boast as loudly as possible about it. Crazy
When I see AK get all sad from the durk situation I know he just thinking about the money he gonna make off of it..AK and Adam16 were the main ones on the “slide for Von” campaign..they would let their guests come on their platform and tell their audience why ain’t durk slide yet..now I know durk a grown man and was gonna do what he wanted to do regardless I just think them 2 amplifying it to the masses ain’t cool now they gonna make more money from durk being locked up
Look up sanpaku eyes, Durk has the eyes of a person under traumatic stress, lack of empathy and psychopathy. His eyes say he did it before anything else. It's the thousand yard stare of a soldier who has seen too much death and has been haunted by these experiences.
I feel like wallo having that conversation in a more intimate setting would've been more helpful. Part of it being durk being a rapper and wanting to keeping up a certain image but also being surrounded by people i am assuming are his goons so there is a certain level of bravado that also (probably) is felt is needed to be maintained with being their leader and showing vulnerability in front of them could be taken the wrong way in their eyes not just fans/viewers. something something patriarchy screws us all over. edit: even durk's response, "man hes dropping real tears", because durk is prob self policing himself right that second and is taken back by wallo being comfortable crying in that room full of hood dudes. which is something we all know negatively effect a man's social status "because why are you being a pussy?".
@@BeautifulEarthJa They only needed one (major) charge to bring him in and hold him... They can mos def add charges. "Law enforcement believes OTF also acts as a group of individuals who engage in violence - including murder and assault - at Banks’ direction and to maintain their status in OTF." In that sentence alone, the Feds are saying they believe the enterprise is +currently+ active (i.e. "acts") and you've got, at least 2 charges (i.e. "INCLUDING murder and assault")... Not to mention, unless NONE of those assassins were felons and ALL of the guns were legal.. there are additional gun charges to be had. "...to maintain status in an enterprise" is wording DIRECTLY from the Federal definition of RICO-related charges. It's super intentional. This is the part where Feds see who can they can flip as they work to strengthen their RICO case but... it's coming.

imo we gotta wait, the sad thing is defense tends to have to wait til trial dates to make or push back against evidence. One second applause for durk turning into stringer bell!
Like jay-z said a long time ago: " IT was all good just a week ago".
How to keep a secret: Allow no-one to know your secret.
Teachable moment. Remind the impressional youth not to try this at home
That's the face of someone who's seen too many ghosts.....
@TheCompanyaman WALLO215 is on Big XThePlug album!!!
Check it out
Exactly.
Can't say I feel bad for Dirk. Dude had the opportunity to change not only his life, but his whole lineage and he effed it up for nothing.
I do. Dirk's fatal flaw here is that he can't let go of his anger and grief. I get that, even if I don't condone his actions. The whole cycle of violence is nonstop tragedy, and nobody enters it willingly.
@@taylorchilds9646You don’t enter it willingly, but you can willingly take yourself out.
Dirk Nowitzski????
I remember that Million Dollars Worth of Game, Dirk interview. Wallo has always revealed his life but That was one of the most emotional moments and Dirk looks at Wallo like he was a Sucka.......at that moment i knew Wallo couldn't save him. That moment was for a viewer who could be reached
This.
You knew it didn’t click for Durk.
Company man, hip hops in good hands with you around. Your videos are phenomenal, they are insightful, thoughtful, fair and very clearly communicated. You’re one of my favorite people I’ve becomes newly aware of this year and I’m looking forward to getting my news from you going forward. Your videos remind me a lot of Thom Hartmann’s, very chill, intelligent and compassionate.
Thank you!
crazy stuff. Appreciate you man! 🙏🏾
AK is a character. He got arrested, he ain't dead, chill tf out
Being arrested is a sad thing if it’s your friend
Being arrested is a sad thing in general
@@richardmack9995They're not friends
@@jeremybrown9611 do you know them personally I didn’t think so because Ak actually spoke on their history
@@richardmack9995 fam my brother has been arrested plenty of times growing up, I never dropped to my knees and performed... i mean "cried" on my floor.
I don't think Durk was turning the corner until he realized the FEDS was on him. Most times when you see a 180 so quickly, there's usually something brewing. Look at how Diddy tried to make an image change.
Akademiks will say Noooo to him going to jail but was antagonizing all Ts since 2019 for the durk von stuff
Wallo 0-5 with these heartfelt speeches
I was gonna say, that speech was 1 for 1 deja vu of the "Come to Jesus" monologue he gave Thugger
lol Depends on how you look at it., I see 5-0 😂
@@Newjerseydestroyer more like 5-0
Durk thought he was gonna be able show he turned a new leaf in a trial... NOPE smh.. feds already know that's cap

WALLO IS THE MAN....S/O GILLIE
UA-cam really needs to consider banning Akademics he causes a lot of behind the scenes neighborhood wars etc…
@@Chicago311zero the more you report his videos they will ban it
I agree. A very loud, detrimental conduit
He’s a fed, they keep him around to keep it going.
Masterful breakdown 👍🏿
Thank you!
The drill scene is so sad man. So many of these guys dead or in jail

@@mookieblaelocker6504 huh? Confused by all the responses to this. It isn’t sad to see young men dying or going to jail?
Thanks for this!
It would be funny if lil durk implicated Ak as the mastermind lol
He probably won't but I would love to see Ak go down on instigation charges
Crazy
Man threw his life away when he started drill music
Not sure why, but this is giving me Drake and Top 5 vibes, maybe I'm tripping 🤔
What? Yall obsessed with drake
@@richardmack9995what??? You need to get off your knees drake Ak and Kendrick doesn’t know you bro
This is a crazy year
If I’m not mistaken, the Wallo interview was before the Pap shooting which is sad af cause brah still thru his life away
yep. 5 months before.
When I see AK get all sad from the durk situation I know he just thinking about the money he gonna make off of it..AK and Adam16 were the main ones on the “slide for Von” campaign..they would let their guests come on their platform and tell their audience why ain’t durk slide yet..now I know durk a grown man and was gonna do what he wanted to do regardless I just think them 2 amplifying it to the masses ain’t cool now they gonna make more money from durk being locked up
Literal goofballs with audiences to match
Look up sanpaku eyes, Durk has the eyes of a person under traumatic stress, lack of empathy and psychopathy. His eyes say he did it before anything else. It's the thousand yard stare of a soldier who has seen too much death and has been haunted by these experiences.
When you hear those lyrics, it reminds me of that RDCWorld clip…”how did the catch you in 4K?” Man spoke his whole future into existence. Sad day
Too much truth.
Love your stuff man.
Best subscription in a while. TCM consistently delivers
That indictment is written with a LOT of "criminal organization"/RICO language...
It needs 2 crimes at least to be RICO...
@@BeautifulEarthJa They only needed one (major) charge to bring him in and hold him... They can mos def add charges.
"Law enforcement believes OTF also acts as a group of individuals who engage in violence - including murder and assault - at Banks’ direction and to maintain their status in OTF."
In that sentence alone, the Feds are saying they believe the enterprise is +currently+ active (i.e.
This is the part where Feds see who can they can flip as they work to strengthen their RICO case but... it's coming.
ak be fakin that ish🤣🤣🤣cant be takin ak serious
I learned about AK during the beef. I wish I was still ignorant to his existence.
Even though it doesn't effect me personally, it still feels kinda embarrassing. Durk one of the three Drill rappers from the city that made it big. How he in this situation at all? So stupid.
I feel you on calling this era, "hip-hops lost generation". The up and coming guys keep dying or getting locked up, making it so they never reach the highs they could have. Hope you elaborate on the thought some more.
big salute to The Company Man Justin Hunte, A1 coverage on this and 37:48 is my favorite part of the video because this been glossed over too much throughout the past decade + since everyone else hopped on the drill bandwagon, desperate to get the attention Chicago was authentically getting.
Durk heard Wallo's story and was like "Heard you, but I'm still using my credit card to send my shooters to LA🤷🏿♂️"
When you called Lil Durk, Stringer Bell, I was like damn, it’s relatable in what happened to both. Both were trying to do too much and their past caught up with them.
Lot of pain in our Hip Hop/Communities. No one has answers, but we all have fingers pointing or signaling at the issues. Looking fwd to your analysis with a continued empathetic lens. 🙏🏾
Hiphop, atleast after the 80s, was a place for reformation. Street ninjas like Eazy, X, Hov and 50 used it as a getaway from the streets. Pac is the ultimate tale of not indulging in street shi. How many examples do these kids need??? They all dropping like flies now. Its a cleanse. Let the reformed rap, the shooters can stay in the streets
Well if you don’t learn history…..
"those who kill together, squeal together"
imo we gotta wait, the sad thing is defense tends to have to wait til trial dates to make or push back against evidence. In the social media era, we get the prosecutions version months in advance and modern journalism will just decipher that version of events until most of the public knows the DA's vision. things like the type of plea offered or if he goes to trail will tell us more, but until then we gotta wait.
Why do we keep giving light to AK? We gotta shut this clown down. He’s been one of the worst things if anything THE WORST to ever happen to hiphop journalism and media…from the Chiraq days to now. Why do we care about AKs reaction? I’m sick of hearing this culture vulture. Rant over 😡 lmaoo
Gang life in Chicago has its laws and rules its instilled your guys are your family the only way to save yourself os get away. Durk stayed in touch with his guys when you from Chi you can't just bounce on your guys I was there for forty five years lost close to 20 but I bounced didn't care what anybody thought but he didn't.

Calling Durk a rapper is like calling Roy deMeo a credit union representative....
What do y'all be babbling about some times lol
Bring drake to the hood 😫surround Drake around Drakes🐉 (idk wtf he said after this)
MmmmmmhnnhughhyYyeaaaahh 😫😫
Idk if I can agree with him saying “Chicago has never had a movement, gangster or conscious” when you had Kanye West, Common, Twista, Lupe Fiasco all going crazy in the early 2000s
“Execute this bounty” really does put all this into perspective
Been listening to Durk since 2018 so I'm not really surprised. I feel like it was always there in his songs and given how close he was with Von yeah of course Durk would do something like that.
That being said, the fact that he took care of that Jam dude and he still snitched on him (allegedly) is wild and kinda sad.
Remember KDot's line on Euphoria..." I hate when a rapper talk about guns, then somebody di*s they turn into nuns...?" Ak, and that Ross ediot were egging on that ediotic top 5 guy when he was talking about lining people up in the "Not like Us" vid...now Ak Livingston talking like he cares about Durk...smh. shout out to KDot man, that man tried to save not only Aubrey, but the culture as a whole...shout out to Dee 1. Young Thug, Lil Durk, Wallo has been exactly where they're at. And saw where they were going and how to avoid it, but false Pride and Ego and the false sense of security led them to believe that this could last and not happen to them. The same ones that they thought they could buy loyalty and respect from are the same ones that put them where they're at.
"Zonin' while I'm drivin', hopin' I don't crash
Loyal 'cause you feed 'em, that'll only last

Also I don’t think saycheese or rap house are credible sources at all…
Literally just UA-cam channels, no barrier to entry
He actually shouts out Jam on Times back in like 2013. Crazy to see
I always return to that Wallo clip. It's words I need to hear from time to time when dealing with my own feelings of revenge
Durk could’ve watched the Wire and seen he was just real life Stringer Bell 🤣
Eyes wide shut might be apt. Those eyes are blank.
I appreciate what Wallo was trying to do, but sometimes the hurt and the pain blinds you, and you don't want to hear anything.
An old head foretold the fate of XXX.
Another old head forewarned Durk.
Both rappers ended up exactly how they would because they didn’t listen.
This was deep... Painfully deep.
Wallo poured out for a lot of these dudes and they never listen. They get what they deserve, but people gone say free him even though he embodies everything that should go against the “culture”. Unfortunately, the “culture” praises people like Durk.
So senseless, smh.
You can of course address this however you want, but I really hope to hear your thoughts soon
Interesting timing, he was about to drop some positive album and that's when those charges come up hmmm
Damn we share the same bday. August 19th 🙌🏾 *1 second applause…👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾*

Wallo talking about America being scared of hood black men waking is (knowingly or unknowingly) echoing Malcolm X from his Autobiography.
He also believed that hood black men, being raised fearless by circumstances, when they became aware of their situation, and banded together to change them, would be the biggest threat to the American oligarchs.
27:10 purrrfect pr statement there
