Anthony. Dude! Excellent review. Love seeing how detailed u r in your reviews. Yep: “Cartier L” Amy car that has dual cigarette lights on door panels represents a time that has now died. I’ve had the luxury in my younger day to smoke and a crisp gin and tonic. Just Cruisin man!! And last but not least “Chromies for da holmies” that’s some funny stuff. Peace Anthony. You have a wonderful Christmas with your family.
I’m not in a position to buy these, dare I say classic cars, but I really enjoy watching these videos. Give me this over the crap on TV any day of the week seriously. Your finds are amazing and I love the commitment to detail and the obvious passion you have for your career Anthony.
This is Armand from S.I. say hello to Papa Bear. And I got to say this is one of the sexiest cars you're selling 25 g's Not bad a little less than half price when it rolled off the show room 22 yrs old I'm now 66 I'll be long gone before this car stops running. I wish you n ur family Happy Thanksgiving .🙏🇺🇸🫂 lol
As always, I know that you and Papa Bear 🐻 are the best. Its unfortunate that certain people who really don't understand the business you're in post negative comments. I remember a commercial when Lee Iacocca was running Chrysler, and he said, "If you can find a better car? Buy it"
Beautiful! Someone spent a lot of money on this in 2003! Love the long wheelbase cars. The only downside to me is the color. I wouldn’t have picked silver because the chrome doesn’t show off enough.
I just love that amazing 2003 Lincoln Town Car Cartier L! It is like a limousine-like vehicle with so much spacious leg room you could ever bear! These Long-Wheelbased Town Cars are so HARD TO FIND!!!!
I remember vaguely when these were new. if I recall, they were the first Ford product that cost over $40k. you can't even buy a 4 cylinder front wheel drive compact for that now.
Almost all L models were sold for livery service. No sunroof on the L for the same reason there are no sunroofs in taxis. Sunroofs were rare in regular Town Cars, it likely made no sense to do the tooling or production line accommodation for sunroofs on such a low volume car such as the L.
It’s not necessarily the mileage, it’s literally 22.5 years old, built March ‘02. Better to fix things now with quality parts and a reputable mechanic rather than later when you’re stranded on the side of the road with your family in the middle of nowhere 🤷♂️
Anthony caters to collectors of turn key cars that need absolutely nothing. Age is the enemy just as much as miles. Anthony has often said that he knows that most dealers wouldn't seek perfection like he does - but Anthony is not your typical dealer. Truthfully this generation of Town Car tears the boots on ball joints, and Anthony just replaces the whole control arm assembly so that all the bushings are new and fresh. Most 21 year old cars have seepage on their shocks, Anthony just gives them new shocks.
@@RustyZipperas far as I know that option of the extra 4” wheel base was very difficult to get in civilian form but not impossible it depended on your select dealership agency proprietor and the larger agencies were more privy to this kind of custom availability specifications Liason
@@georgewilson1184 It wasn't difficult to order - but almost no Lincoln dealers ordered them for regular retail stock because of slow turnover and low profit. The truth of the last generation Town Car is that it was a poor seller with declining sales each of the last nine years of production - from 56,566 in 2003 to 9,460 in 2011, and 1,001 "2012" models sold only in the middle east (those 1,001 2012's were all made in 2011 before production closed in August 2011).
Can never find a way to buy one of there cars. I dont live in his neighborhood and i cant find a way to contact them. I would have no problem buying one and driving it back to Florida. Please provide information on how i can purchase a car from him when i live out of town.
How people reproduce is beyond me…. Pick up the phone, google his business name, hit the call button and keep calling during business hours until he answers. It’s not like you have to ride a horse into town and send a telegram 🤷♂️
Sunroofs aren't all that I've got 4 cars with them and never open them ,I'll pull the shade back and let the light in but that's it ,they look cool but that's about it .
Fun fact: the factory never installed sunroofs on the L models. All long wheelbase Town Cars with sunroofs were after the fact add ins. When I was shopping for my Town Car that bugged me because I really like the rear seat space of the L - but I always get a factory sunroof. I really enjoy my 2006 Presidential Edition (Signature Limited) with both a factory sunroof and a full length E&G black canvas carriage roof, factory chrome 18 spoke wheels, finished in Light French Silk, now closing in on 150k miles - its my preferred choice for long road trips!
Fantastic 🤩 For $14k I’ll take 2! I’d like one with low mileage like this and another with say 125k miles and a few scratches/ wear so I can daily drive it and not feel bad, you can keep the difference 💰
@RustyZipper only 2?! Pfft, I want 3!! This one, then the daily with higher miles and a little more wear and tear. But that 3rd one, I want just as MINT as this one so when this one quits in about 20 to 30 years or fee hundred thousand miles, I'll have another one to fall back on!! Ppl don't realize that those "values" are strictly blanket values!! They don't take into consideration the condition, work done to upkeep it, and the value that this car would mean to someone that truly loves and appreciates these VERY RARE Cartier L's with extremely low mileage!! I'd venture to say that 40-60% of these TC long wheel base models are sitting at 200k or more in mileage because they were mainly used as transportation for higher ups, events, and other misc stuff!! If I hadn't just bought a new truck, I'd gladly spend 25k for this car!
Jo, no one in the collector car world uses KBB for special or low mileage collector cars. In no way is Anthony over charging: he pays top dollar for his inventory and is a well known buyer to other dealers - please note that he bought this car from a Ford dealer and Anthony likely paid more for this car than retail buyers in that Ford dealer's area. Just like tires crack with age, so do suspension air bags. Typically what happens is they develop very small leaks and then the compressor is constantly on and pumping up the airbags.
@Thomas63r2 it's a cheap fix though just did the rear on my 97 Lincoln Mark VIII after 28 years on bags they finally leaked cost me $135 to replace bags and solenoids well worth it to keep air ride and not do coilovers like everyone else does
Happens everyday that people pay $25k and more for older cars, this car might not be worth it to you - but someone else will buy it. Anthony knows the market. His cars sell.
