Sounds like Nellie and her little girl went to Ginnifer Goodwin's great-grandfather for protection. If not from her first husband, then at least from people who would have shamed them.
I’d just like to say….don’t be so specific with dates, use a 10 year span, people lied for what ever reason usually because a wife was 14-16 years old …they would not give the proper date, especially if the man was older.
@@soulanstreets222 what I was being weird about? I wasn't asking you? Candy was saying those days, ppl lied to get married? So I don't understand your insult calling me weird? I don't advocate pedophilia like you do?
For what? it doesn't change anything about your own life. Sure, it's interesting, but sometimes people have good reasons why they keep something a secret.
Way to go Nellie, I hope she found true love. But back to the positive, if he had not abandoned her, she would have been living with and subject to a man who hated her and would have cheated on her. While I am sure she suffered financially, that would have been better than baring that man 6 more kids.
@@Marcel_Audubondid they blatantly argue with what you said? Doesn’t sound like it but ig that’s me. I thought they were just proudly stating that they’ve made their marriage work for 30+ yrs.
Names are real weather they are "made up" or they existed before by being used by someone else. Names also don't always follow spelling norms or pronunciation norms. Examples, "Saoise" Ronan. Pronounced Sursia like inertia. "Siobhan" McKenna, pronounced Shevaun. Ralph Fiennes, pronounced Reif Fynze. So if her parents spelled Jennifer, Ginnifer it is a real mane, and as all names are, made up by someone, even if very long ago.
@@nursetazzi sometimes it’s to stand out or be more ethnically ambiguous, but a lot of the time it’s because someone in the Union has the same or similar name and they are urged to change it. Not everyone does it though; there are two actresses named Vanessa Williams. It’s cool that she only change the first two letters of her name so it would be pronounced the same and it gives it alliteration.

And she might not have any money
Searching for family history can open a can of wormer. I found that out for myself. Still searching for grandmother's on parental side
I want to know what happened to Nellie and her daughter.
Me too, I can't find anymore on Jennifer's story ugh! I guess I have to subscribe lol.
Ginnifer is an actress, well-known. She was in "Mona Lisa Smile" with Julia Roberts.
Oh my gosh! I looked at the scenery in the beginning and thought, "That looks like home." It is home!
LOok for Haines in Ohio-Logan County or east coast.
She is a real life Audrey Horne.

Good or bad you need to know your family's history
Most do not
No, you don’t

Not if it's actually dangerous you don't.
Agreed
Ginnifer Goodwin could have come across a situation where a person marries their first cousin which happened in my family.
Yes, same
Especially, smaller towns with lack of transport and interaction with neighboring towns + Religious groups kept together.

So after all that , who are these people?!?! 😑
We are what we do, not where we came from.
Tom Hanks bit on the side 😂
What happened to the “girl child”?
Purtroppo queste cose non sono mai reali ne così semplici. Spero per lei che non l' abbiano ingannata

Ginnifer is not a real name, made up

Not made up. Her real name is Jennifer. Many performers will change their names to make it more memorable. She did so by changing the spelling.

It’s an alternative to Jennifer. 🤡
