Congrats to you both, Monty is absolutely beautiful. I didn’t breastfeed my two children and they were both super healthy children, my son had his first course of antibiotics when he was four years old, our GP at the time said that’s quite old so his immune system was really good. Co drydramol is the usual post natal pain killer. These first days are so special just drink your baby in, plenty of sleep and snuggles and if you feel emotional Nadia let it out and keep talking, the baby blues can hit hard xxxx
Awww, had to stop the video to say that he is so, so beautiful😍. Brings back many memories for me from 25 years ago. Make sure to enjoy this time, it passes by so quickly. All three so cute together.
Credit to you Nadia for filming a video with a newborn. Thanks for sharing your story with your followers. You are looking fantastic! Baby Monty is adorable! Xx
Congratulations to you both, he’s lovely 🥰 I have a 10w old and 2 year old. Agree the communication between midwife’s and departments is poor and how long you have to wait for information/pain relief. It will serve you well 2nd time round as you’re much more direct about what you need and know to ask early ❤
Congratulations! ❤❤❤ Thanks for sharing the birth story. I actually had a very similar experience! I just ended up having to get an episiotomy and vacuum assisted delivery. Back labor was absolutely brutal, just excruciating pain on my back the entire time, couldn’t have survived without the pain meds. Definitely hire a night nurse and take care of yourself mama!!! ❤
Congratulations! I loved this, it was so real. My husband and I had a difficult first birth experience, so I could totally relate. Glad you're ok and thriving. Well done ❤🥰
I am so so happy for you guys I can’t stop smiling. You deserve to be so happy. But hearing some of how the nurses/ midwives were is so frustrating even thought you were still so happy with the experience it’s still so shit that some people do a job they shouldn’t do. But anyway so so happy for all of you and hope you and baby boy are doing well 😘
Congratulations may you enjoy motherhood/fatherhood. Happy for you and your family. Yes giving birth to 3 children without the epidural. But to be fair they first was born within 6 hours of having contractions, the second within 2 hours and the birth third was so sudden within 30 minutes my daughter was born but the pain was more intense than the other 2.
Congratulations! Lack of communication and patronising behaviour sounds exactly like what’s been described in the “Giving Birth like a Feminist” book. Highly recommended read ❤
Congratulations! Can’t believe how similar our birth stories are apart from mine ended up with forceps! He’s gorgeous! Can you please link your jewellery x
Congratulations 🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉 On your precious baby boy many congrats followed you and your partner for years. So great to see you start a family 💙 💓 💕 💗 💖 💛 💙 💓
Ah well done nadia..congratulations! He's gorgeous.. so happy for u guys.. love his name..sooo cool! Btw my 1st born is joseph..we call him joey.. he was also late😂..the boys like being cosy
Honestly the first 6 weeks is the easiest not sure why people say it’s hard. All they do is sleep. It honestly gets harder a few months later. Congratulations, being a mom really suits you well. I know you don’t want to hear this but I am so heart broken with your thoughts on breast feeding even if you would have given him colostrum. Breastfeeding & colostrum is so helpful in building your child’s immune system that formula can’t supply. Also because you had a c-section makes it even more important. The baby gets most of all his good gut bacteria when they pass through the mom’s birth canal. These bacteria is what protect you from illness and disease and not just now as a baby but up through your entire adult life. There so many bacteria’s we only get at birth passing through the birth canal. Please don’t think I’m saying this to make you feel bad…I really just want to educate incase you are others are not aware. It’s sad that our medical systems don’t really talk about this. God bless you both and little Monty❤
No need to be heartbroken. It’s her decision & her baby. Formula babies are healthy and fed and it also makes it easier for both parents to be present equally and if this works for them best then all the better. These types of comments are what cause mental health issues to spike in mothers when they’re at such a fragile mental state as it is due to hormones and changes in every aspect of their lives. To you this must be a passing comment made in a few mins but it can really effect someone long term so i really suggest keeping advise and your “heartbroken”ness on someone else’s decisions to yourself. You dont know what theyre thinking and everything you said could be going through her head already and this would just promote negative thoughts. I am a mother who breastfed both my babies and i can honestly say if i have another child i will probably be formula feeding if at any point i find bfing difficult. My mental and physical health while breastfeeding took such a toll on me that 1.5 years later- i’m still not back to normal. Everyone is different everyone has different capacities and experience these things individually. I find it crazy that people don’t think before saying things like this
And “the first 6 weeks are the easiest” is such a generalisation- your experience and your baby is different. Some people have babies who are colicky and won’t stop crying. Most babies also go through cluster feeding during this time which is so hard especially as some women have infections or are still recovering from birth. Yes they have help but at the end of the day the mother is the mother and bears most responsibility towards the baby (at least thats how you feel inside even if no one is verbally voicing this). The way sentences like “the first 6 weeks are sooo easy not sure why people say its hard omg” piss me off 🙂↔️gtfo here. So condescending and you’re just that type of person new mums- hell even experienced mums would want to avoid. Stop using your experience as a standard for all mothers- just be grateful you were blessed with an “easy” 6 weeks and get on with your day.
@ I in no way said formula babies can’t be healthy. Yes formula can absolutely feed a baby a balanced nutrition and they can grow and gain weight the same as a breast fed baby…you’re obviously missing my point. My point is about the most important part of the health of the human body and that is your gut bacteria which you receive from your mother passing through the “birth canal” and by colostrum. I’m not talking about daily nutritional needs. Maybe you’re not up to date on how much of our health for our entire lives is determined by our gut bacteria. There are so many of these bacteria you only receive one time and that’s at birth. Regular doctors don’t talk about this but a functional doctor will absolutely tell you this. You can even google it for a quick cliff notes if you’re not into research. Trust me I’m very aware of gut health. All my younger years I struggled with digestion issues but back then science wasn’t as up to date as it is now. No doctor I saw told me I needed to focus on my gut health and feed my good bacteria. They prescribe medication which actually killed more of my good bacteria which then lead to cancer. You’re speaking down to the wrong person. I am now a permanently bedridden disabled person who has gone through years of chemo, 2 bone marrow transplants from 2 different donors which my body rejected making my body attack its self and a whole lot more. New science is now coming out saying my transplants would have been more successful if I had really good gut health. I just want to educate so people don’t suffer the way I have. It all starts at birth. Have a nice day!
@@cheekygurl4evaagree 100% and I’m not a mum as can’t have children, but couldn’t agree with your comment more🩵✨it’s her choice x their baby and their choice🩵and also she knew someone would say something and that’s why she said please don’t come for her, I wish this person had not left any comment and kept it to themselves, especially as a new mum and I can only imagine it must be hard trying to navigate everything. If Nadia wants to formula feed then that’s her decision and my best friend has just had a baby and doing exactly the same as Nadia 🩵long as the baby is healthy and happy that’s all that matters xo
Congratulations beautiful big boy I must say you if you don't wait to have another it means you will probably have to have c-section again but at least it would be planned. I did not breast feed because my body was in shock from the c- section and my milk never came in.
