This is becoming one of my favorite Lumpamensch videos. It has a sort of "all things Lumpamensch" quality, sampling everything you all have to offer: -very nice vocals. The twins are sort of the vocal foundation, and it's interesting to listen for the subtle differences in the sound "color" when the other girls enter and exit, like at 0:45 when Hanna and Juli come in, while Rebekka and Anna drop out to take up their instrumental lines. -instrumental parts for everyone. The basses start it off by setting the song's rhythm and giving it a "pulse." There are nice parts for the flute, tuba and guitar. And best of all, you can clearly hear Rebekka's fiddle lines in this video. -Also, when Anna pops out from behind the tuba for her singing parts, you can see everyone at once! -I like the lyrics. If Google Translate is at all accurate, this is about a farmer dealing with things like birds nesting in his hay, am I right? As someone of Scottish ancestry, this makes me think of some of the poetry of Scotland's great national poet, Robert Burns. Burns wrote a lot of his poetry about people dealing with little, occurrences and nuisances--often, the people were farmers, in fact. (Burns also wrote a lot of his poetry in dialect).
