Thanks Tom ! Another great video ! Now I know how to play this amazing game :)
Cheers from Portugal :)
Thanks Pedro! I'm glad you enjoy it and I hope you're staying well and safe during this crazy time! Cheers from Utah!
Ugh, you and JongetGames are extremely thorough and genius in these playthrough videos. Just love it. Keep making them please. I'd like to request Food Chain Magnate playthrough if you can please
Well dang, thanks!
I kinda-wish I could help you with Food Chain Magnate.... I do like to tackle some bigger and more complicated games.... but that game just has ZERO appeal to my game tastes 😂😂😂 It's one of those that I sit back and think, "People play this?" -- NO fault of the game. Clearly it's a brilliant design.... .but the time, and art style, and the way it seems people run away with a victory.... I just don't have it in me to buy a copy.
I hope we can still be friends!
I love this game! I have upgraded it to the max with awesome resources and cute little tribal dudes.
No way! I want upgrades! Where did you get yours so I can peruse.....
@@TomTeachesGames LOL! I got the meeples and food from Etsy, more exact epicycledesigns and some resources from Stonemaier. Good luck!
Thank you! I do love me some stonmaier resources....
Love this game, as the sheer simplicity of just taking workers on or off interacts with all the shifting gears. Now I just need someone to play with...
Yeah! That’s what I like about it too.... like, every turn: put on or take off. Period. It feels much more clean, in that sense, than Teotihuacan....
Woot! Thanks, Tom :)
Heck yeah! You’re always welcome 😀
Blue could have done much better in the endgame there - rather than hitting the first player space a couple of turns before the end, he could have placed on Tikal to save 3 corn on the tech bump (turning a stone into wood and gold) and monument buy, got 8 corn (better than 3 wood) on Palenque, and then on the final turn grabbed first player if red hadn't yet.
Even on the final turn, he could have grabbed 10 corn from Palenque rather than the wood, so been able to feed his workers (spending a stone for the tech track resource trick).
On the other hand, I usually lose Tzolk'in, so, while I may be better at the micro, my macro needs work...
I mean..... blue could have done a million and a half things differently 😂 But hey, I did the best my brain could with the experience I had.
@@TomTeachesGames Hey, I couldn't find any rules errors to nitpick, so...
My problem with Tzolk'in is that I very efficiently and optimally pursue my medium-term goals, but don't pick the right goals to pursue...
The monuments are really expensive
Yup! But if you get the right one.... lots of points....
Teotihuacan is pronounced "tayo-tee-wah-kan"
Oh man..... no matter how many times I try, I will never get it.... 😂
