Nice video Wiley. Wow, 3 "quick panos" in the first 3:05...that has to be a record. Loved that owner's stateroom and head. Best ever location for doing a boat review....loved seeing Sandy Spit. Thanks.
Did you check the bulkheads as these boats have a latent defect as the bulkheads have warped, broken and buckled. The boats have serious problems and the bulk heads must be inspected. If there not broken now they will be at some point. Lots of videos from owners about the heart ache and problems. Lagoon are running away from the problem that exists in hundreds of their boats. Watch Parlay you tube re his Lagoon 450
I feel like I would just take my chances and find one on Craigslist I can check out myself and save some on it, cuz I'm sure some unlucky bloak has one as a liability
Beautiful vessel , love the 450 s , chartered them few times . just one remark about a small detail , the opening hatch is not there for fresh air for an open cockpit , it is there for the helmsman to be able to see the stern of the boat while docking . Without opening the hatch, he sees absolutely nothing what's happening at the aft .
Curious on your thoughts about all the recently discovered lagoon 450 cracked bulkhead issues. Seems like a majority of them are from rushed builds and poor QC from the factory. Has lagoon addressed this yet?
Sweet boat Wiley..some folks dog Lagoons for being less of a performance cat...but honestly it's faster than a mono and for comfort cruising with family or a cpl it's hard to beat....awesome location too
Sunshine, daydream, walking in the tall trees, going where the wind goes Blooming like a red rose, Now come on over sweetly, Ride out singin', "I got you in the morning sunshine."
I love me some Lagoon cats. But I didn't like this one as much as some of the others. One negative (and this is just personal preference) is the small fly bridge. Not a lot of protection from the elements up there. I'd rather have the helm down in the cockpit under the hard top. The other thing I noticed is that the saloon/galley area had all those great windows with only tiny ports on the side. I would have liked to have seen larger ports or something.
In a future video can you show me what a forward crew berth looks like? Ones where you access from the hatch up front. My thought is I could put my child in that when guest were on board. Thanks
Wiley Sharp Catamaran Expert I was born and raised there. In the Panama Canal Zone. I live in Ft Lauderdale now. It is a beautiful country. Still kind of quiet. Not to crazy like Costa Rica. Pretty much spent all my time on the water spearfishing and boating. Both Oceans. FYI, I have a few friends that stayed behind and work for the canal. Tug boat captains and admeasurer. (Americans)Tried to reach out to a few sailboaters if they needed assistance when they go through there. Let me know if I can help if you have folks going through it. One other thing, been through the locks enough times not to miss it, as a kid. Even paddled with a four crew team from cristobal to miraflores, in a dugout canoe. Went through all the locks. Took three days. What fun crazy time growing up there. They still have the annual ocean to ocean cayuco race. You should do it.
The helm looks pretty exposed..& in a decent sea... you would be getting kicked around pretty good because of the height.. at least that looks how it might be.. I see the bimini over it... but still..
Gotta elevate those solar panels - they're not nearly as efficient tacked to a surface like that. The more air flow they can get, the better. Low effort upgrade for sure.
@@catamarancentral Good one! I live in South Tampa half the year, MacDill AFB campground. I would have sworn you grew up in Ventura, CA. Yo homie, smell ya later!

The service you are doing is huge and real boat buyers are extremely grateful for saving us massive amounts of time reviewing boats.
The nicest most practical cruiser *ever* !

It does make for a fun drinking game though...do a shot every time Wiley says "pano". :)

It’s a quick pano guys, get it right!
"FYI" Lagoon 450 owners are filing a class action lawsuit over cracked or even broken bulkhead issues due to poor craftmanship by Lagoon.
Awesome boat, good vid Wiley.
I like the privilege 585 like sailing zatara love the layout and the wood finish

For this reason lagoon is off the list. Not worth the risk.

Great vids, per usual.
Another great video Wiley. Love to interview you on our business radio, 101 Business Radio.
What's the place in the beginning of the video?
I miss a dishwasher in the galley; how messy would it be to add one?
Its pretty easy on the Lagoon 450's
Wiley Sharp Catamaran Expert thanks.
Beautiful boat, killer panos :)
My boyfriend is pretty tall at 7 foot, do you think he'll fit comfortably enough that we can live in this boat full time?

Wiley, is Foxy's Taboo totally rebuilt yet?
You have another one?
can a big boat like that be sailed by one person?
is this a charter boat? Ex charter boat? Hours on engines?

Putting your child in a berth with no escape hatch!
Paul D they build with two so someone sleeps in them. And my child is not so young. I think they will be just fine in the marina in Houston
You didn't show us the cracked bulkheads.
what i wanna know is what's the price on one of these things.
This is Bulkhead comment you are waching for 😉
P.C principal doing boat tours now
What’s the asking price?
Found the price in the doc (in small) 590,000 or around that
Please open up the engine rooms!
