Nice! I love that you progressed from your last attempt and realized it was the mirrors with all of the joints/edges lined with LED lights that made it all come together. Nice infinity depth effect.
Brother , this is suuuper sick , i want to make my own now , Excelent work and Excelent video i am very impressed , also this goes well with some psytrance
Hi QuadSquad, I am making one of these, but am using 3mm glass. Could I pay you some money to redesign a frame with a 3mm slot? If so let me know how to contact you and I will be in touch directly.
Hey, do you have any working links for the frame? this looks great and I want to make one but the previous links in the DIY videos no longer appear to work
Is the plexiglass sides 150mm long?, ive made plexiglass and printed the frame parts but they don't fit well, the frame version 16 parts ar a little bit to long for 150mm octagon plexiglass.
Chagay Hamelzky thanks for the link! I don’t really understand how you placed the plexiglass into the assembled frame though... how were you able to squeeze the plexiglass in there? Are they just so loosely fitted in the frame that you were able to bend them in?
@@wowwitsgau Yes, and because you bend them in, the structure is under tension and keeps itself up. But if i would redo the project i would change this. Quadsquad already commented on my video that his plexiglass sides were a little bit longer than 150m.... (153mm i believe)
Hi! @@quadsquad3087 This is amazing. My name is Anjelica Edvige and I am getting in touch from WooGlobe. I would love to work with you in sharing your video with the world including good offer! Right now I'm making 2 more for my friend. Ideal solution would be precut plexi panels, frame and led strips in a flat pack DIY kit as it is imho too fragile for shipping..
hey, just wanted to tell you that you deserve way more attention, amazing video!
A real quick doorway from your kids sports to the 4th dimension in a conversation I'd say
*impressive*

Amazing!!
The Infinity Dodecahedron...
OF THE MEGAVERSE
I’m building this at the moment, based on your plans! i just wanted to ask, how thick is the plexiglass?
2mm
Hi you give up Dodecahedron 2.0?
How do you replace the burnt out lights?
Hey awesome work dude! Do you have any overheating issues regarding the relatively high amount of current through all leds?
usually it is running animation so consumption is less, maybe if you set it to white all leds and 100% brightness it would melt after some time :]

Hi man, I added the 3mm version to shared folder, try to print a few and give me feedback :)
@@quadsquad3087 Wow, thank you so much. I'll let you know how I get on

Sorry about that, I will upload it again. I will make new better version with interlocking pieces soon.
@@quadsquad3087 Thank you! I am excited to make one myself but still trying to work out the frame

would you ever consider selling this?

I'm running into this issue as well. How did you solve this?
@@wowwitsgau i just glued the frame in place first, and then added support brackets, see my DIY video: ua-cam.com/video/92GOb_LCink/v-deo.html

Chagay Hamelzky thanks for the reply, makes sense. I’m going to reprint the frame pieces shortened 98% lengthwise and give that a try
Did you solder all three strands together where they meet at the corners? Or just two and one of them is not connected?
yes 3 of them, scheme is in description, it is 5 equal parts

Let me know if this is for sale! Would love to make a totem out of this for EDC Las Vegas

No way this draws more amps than my air conditioner
But only at 5V, not the mains voltage 230/120V, for exmple 5Vx10A=50W 120Vx10A=1200W
Leds barely draw any current
I feel like it would look better if each strip had a diffuse cover over it to make the light smoother.
vellum paper would be perfect.
