- Grandmaster Cristian Chirila encourages you to restrict your opponents' pieces and plans. There are numerous examples, but see two games from the best that masterfully demonstrate these shutdowns.

One of the best middlegame lectures I've ever seen!
agreed. Simple-looking positions yet all are incredibly complex and nuanced.
That was a STELLAR lecture. I've watched and played out these positions a half dozen times and I still get a lot out of it each time.
This guy is a great teacher.
GM Cristian's videos are the best! Such a great teacher!
Cristian mă bucur că ai ajuns acolo! foarte tare, frate!
Great lecturee. Some positional ideas that you need to know in the process of decision making. Very nice class.
Thanks for the lecture. I really enjoyed the time and actually undestand it.
yesssss are we going to have daily Cristian Chirila videos?
Just re-seen the video from july 2015 of Ben Finegold review on GM Oberyn Martel... and now i know that the intuitive moves he is speeking of could be the reason for that Re4 move in the endgame.
Great lecture! But i would rather calculate than simply trust instincts... if you intuitive know a move, but dont get all the way through you may see yourself into trouble...
Very very nice video,congratulations.
Good lecture!
his accent is so nice!
last game was a great illustration between bishop pair and knight pair, how to know which is better when there are so many pawns on the board and the available resources through domination.
~ Sehr schön video !
That REALLY was helpful.
best positoinal play lecture
Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis why chess openings explained has stopped because it was the best of all!!!!!
in the last game where white lacks counterplay, is an idea like doubling rooks on h file and bg3 effective?
can you guys do lessons on the different theories related to opening in chess, like a complete playlist on sicillians, QGD,QGA etc.
Jonathan Schrantz does a whole series called "Chess Openings Explained", which covers a lot of that.
At 9:26 a possible plan for black was to push the g pawn ,get the knight in front of the king and the on f file weak square. If u stop with G4 he pushes the H pawn and creates tension, u play ur H pawn and maintain the tension but then after captures and captures black could push the f pawn and if u capture on persont then recapture with the bishop or Knight. What do u say about this line
hey. i have a rated game against John Curdo in a week. im begging you, please do an in depth anylisis of the dutch. please give me a fighting chance.
can anybody tell me what is the name of the openning song?
I also want to know!!!!
41:10 - is Ioan-Cristian Chirilă a fan of Tigran Petrosjan? :)
Please can someone help me, 38:35 why does white not play NE4 X C5 ??? Thank you
Yeah. I am also wondering. Although the c pawn is defended twice, the dark squared bishop is overloaded as it also covers the e7 square. After Ne4xc5,Bxc5,Nxc5,Rxc5,Re7+,Black regains its piece with an extra pawn and very dangerous and active rooks.
i might be a little late, but in case ur still wondering, u would recapture with the rook first. in then end, you'll have a bishop on c5, u will have lost a rook and a pawn but u'll have both of the knights. white's rooks are useless and cannot penetrate. black still has control
That last game ... Win by pawn-pushing ?
That Qb6 one is on chess mentor lol.
Is that the best we can do ?
If not, Why ?
To whom'stsoever suggested Rd3 at 18:20, it's time to pick up hungry hungry hippos.

Very suspicious!
I prefer Anna Sharevich! It's a beautiful woman!
