I vote Eric - playing on those double stacks was SO fun! Thank you for having us on your channel!
I think that Eric 🏅. (This comment was composed by my 9 year old drumming daughter. But I agree with her assessment. )
Eric, you tricked me! I ignored the notification because I thought it was another short!!! 😂 I love your lick the best!
Sometime it would be awesome if you could convince a bunch of drumline veterans around dci to do a season of dca, vlog all of it and write the most insane book you can to make the percussion trophy a guarantee
Emcs lick was fire
taSTY
The last one was super tasty, but it almost feels unfair because their were twice the drums. Good stuff!
EMC's lick is AMAZING! that wins... more is better...
Indeed
I like a composite of all of them. The first measure of Eric's, bars 4&5 of Dadisi's, and the last 2 bars of Stevens. Eric's rim click section is really cool.
holy crap. the stuff you're just casually sight reading is truly difficult music for me and my friends in high school bass line. You're truly someone i look up to, i would love to be as good as you one day.
The bass drummers at this level definitely have the most complex brain structure. I can’t even comprehend some of it.
Video 250 of asking for the full Freebird Guitar Solo on the Megatenors
170 to go
Eric's grooved and also had great runs and technique switches, just culminated to sound so nice. Not sure 3 extra drums count, tho lol
I just want to say that you have made me want to start playing the drums since 2022 and have got me into a lot more types of instruments. I just think that your videos are incredible and inspiring and I hope for you to keep it up!
This is why tenors were my first choice and snare was my second choice my brain cannot comprehend these bass splits lmao
See it's opposite for me I can't read Tenors but can read Bass
"Aren't they both the same?"
Yes....but also no
Dope video!! Loved the add-a-lick! And that Condado is straight fire 🔥🔥
Great video! The best lick was the collective add a bar for sure! Also cant even comprehend some of the rhythms they played in condado.
I was at your house during Halloween getting candy lol I was the black spider man with the blue light mask
Hello, my name is Robert Caldwell. I'm in 8th grade, and I just finished my first season in the Marching band in the drumline, and I want you to review our schools show for this year. Fun fact I play Bass 3 in drumline. 😁😁
I’m going with Stephen
bro I just made bass 2 for a wgi corp and this kinda bass stuff is exactly what i'm looking for.
which one
@@gc1215 cap city 2
Those were some sick splits!
The ad that played before the video was you playing the pocket drums.
Day 1 of asking EMC to play Free Bird on the Mega Tenors
Stephen was my bass tech freshman year of high school! Super fun and a bit of a shock to see him here!
Can you please review this in a future video
I have fond memories of marching top bass my junior year of high school. only year I was part of a marching drumline. the other two guys were still in middle school at the time. I felt like I was the only one really understanding any of the Miss Saigon music we were doing. The other two weren’t picking it up anywhere near as quickly as I was. some of the harder parts had to be changed to make them easier like changing a run to a unison part among other things. Those other two guys became much better drummers than me and both are still good friends of mine to this day 21 years later. my favorite memories from that year are during high school band class. I was the only bass drum in high school, so I would setup all three bass drums and play through each song by myself as originally written like it was nothing. Good times, man. good times.
7:14 how do you that with the mallets?
Looks like a stretchy ring
STEPHEN MCDAWG
Drum go boom!
Imo lick #2 is the winner!
yay a new vid something to watch while grinding games
Bottom bass drummers watching knowing they will never do that
Can you make a snenor that stands on its own with a cart? The Rolling Snenor with a cart stop leg on it
We had a split that went 5,4,3,1,2,3,4,3. In sixteenth notes. Each bass only playing two
Good morning and this is video number 307 of asking for marchable bass drums, set up in a tenor formation. I.e. benor drums.
PS: custom backbar may be needed
please do more of these
EMC’s wax by far the coolest… but also felt like cheating by double stacking lmao
Ehhh!!! aeroband's commercial played and Eric was in it :) had to watch the whole thing because. well. because. lol
This is amazing 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
You should make a video where you find a jacked up cadence and make it better but you can only change every other measure.
From a horn players perspective... they are all impossible!
Video 6 of asking him to review the Remo White Max or Remo Cybermax
Hard vote between 1 and 3 .. i think there should be a vote inside of a vote. Yall what do you think was better
How many times did it take for a full good rep on the make up parts?
Definitely EMC
sorry but the second I saw double stacks I voted Eric
i just got an emc ad before an emc video
Can you emc play utpb drum line
Do you remember meeting Rob law
Make a marching drum set
I vote eric like it was mad groovy
I dare you to make the home depot song
I got Eric’s ad on this vid lol
10:34 WHIPLASH REFERENCE
Composer apps are amazing
Cooool keep up ur vids
AMAZING!!!!
Stephen sounds like Mr Rogers Neighborhood. Soothing and cool to read the music. lol
dadisi's lick!
Can you make a video focusing on the different bass drum rudiments/splits and visuals/stick tricks?
I actually want to meet the three of you and I need to learn accordingly thanks soon to be my trainor C/O EMC production
I vote EMC
Of the ones with 3 drums the first was best. EMCs was great with 6. The take a bar i hear a lot of clicking rims
YEAH BASS
I play bass 5
eric
Eric
This video reminded me of when I was in marching band. Sometimes we had three bass drums so it made sheet music interesting. Though the collaboration really did remind me of my favorite time drumline, writing cadences
Atl
I would say Dadasi's is the best, but Eric's was very close
DAMN!!
EMC wins.
Eric’s was insane, definitely the hardest.
this might be a litle biased but, Eric's lick is amazing!
Clearly EMC's was the best
Stephen was my bass line instructor for my marching band this year, best bass drummer of all time
the deptford bass drums is coo coo
Definitely your lik
Wassup Dadisi!
I lived ‘‘em all
This hurts my head
Just...how...
3rd
nice!
How do you count that at 2:00 ?
It's a 5/4 bar with "sextuplets", really 16th notes inside of 8th note triplets, on the first 2 beats. This leaves 3 beat remaining, each with a triplet on them. The easiest way to think about the 32nd note part would be to take away the doubled notes on each drum, resulting in the same rhythm as the first 2 beats. One the sextuplets are clean, you add in the upbeat 32nds and you have beats 4, 5 and 6 (They actually rep it like this at one point in the video). Those 3 beats could also be thought of as a sextuplet inside of every 8th note.
First
No one cares
I enjoyed Stephens. You can tell he's been on bass drums for a long time, and he's got a natural ability to create awesome and unique sounds from those particular instruments. Eric's is cool, but its just over the top difficult lol
He’s my high school bass line instructor lol
bro just casually being oh yeah, he's my instructor, thats awesome dude.@@maxwellhodges5087
Hi sir EMCproduction just asking, which instrument is better for drum & bugle corps. Key of G bugle or key of Bb? Thank you🙏😊
Too many variables and there is no correct answer. Maintenance costs, initial costs of instruments, writing staff that's focused on either category
Drumcorps stopped using G bugles in the 80s!
@@calebpitt1628who said they can’t still use them?
oh yeah? HOW impossible?
very good. now I wanna see this type of thing in 17/16 and such.
