    I just installed a Zoeller Quiet Check Valve on my Sump Pump last week. What a Huge difference. I don’t hear anything when it shuts off. This is a Great Product.

    Awesome video. You made me laugh at many of your comments and reactions. I'm a big time DIYer too. I will get this valve too, seems awesome.

    Getting ready to replace sump pump and check valve but will add a shutoff valve above the check valve for easy replacement of the check valve or sump pump in the future. I believe these two come as a combination (Item Number 30-0049). I also believe this includes a Union Connection that can be unscrewed so the PVC pipe doesn't have to be cut when working on the check valve or pump. We will see if this is true soon.

    Also should have installed shut off valve above the check valve so you don’t have the same problem next time you need to service it.

    A single grain of sand wedged near the hinge can destroy these.

    i would leave the old one in. you can tell if it's working, even if you are out in the shop.

      I deal with that sound right now.... TERRIBLE reverberation throughout my house. On my way to Lowe's to buy one of these, nice review

    if you are using the check valve with the PVC flanges on either end (model # 30-0041), how do you measure exactly the length of PVC to cut out of the existing pipe to accommodate the check valve without cutting out too much or too little?

    • @stuntcardriver
      @stuntcardriver  Рік тому

      I would take a scrap piece of pvc and fit the piece dry into the flange and mark it. When you pull the piece back out, you will have the measurement and then can figure that amount for each side flange.

    • @anonnone-tg3kl
      @anonnone-tg3kl Рік тому +1

      Ok thanks. When you say ‘mark it’ how do I know how deep the pipe will go into the flange if I can’t see it? I think the whole check valve runs 7 ~ 9 inches but I’m not positive.

    • @stuntcardriver
      @stuntcardriver  Рік тому +1

      @@anonnone-tg3kl Push the scrap piece all the way into the flange until it bottoms out. Then mark where the outside of the flange is on the pipe. Then pull the pipe out of the flange and measure. I would guess it should be about 1.5 inches.
