In my youth on similar rocks on that coast, we'd start with the gidgies to get some bait, then hook up with half a crab within a few minutes .. always remember to go indigenous for your bait - and white bread ain't it. Reef holes and holey reefs can be so great. I've literally had dreams of epic fishing sessions involving reef holes. I'll be back home in less than a year, gonna get out there fishing for sure.

Thanks, Mate, its a lovely place but a lot of it is a sanctuary zone (it should be) so no fishing, and boat fishing is not allowed anywhere nearby. hope it stays pristine for years to come
We use soft but firm coconut meat as bait,the crabs in the beginning of the video also make good bait,freeze the crabs overnight and the meat just pop out the legs if you suck it out. Delicious when steamed in a banana leaf with a squeeze of lime,a pinch of salt,some chopped chilli and chives and a dollop of butter..

Seen a massive school of big buff Bream today in similar looking ground in close to a reef at Pengoes. They were swirling around with there fins out of the water, thought it was a Pinky ball, but was Buffs.
Yeah, they do ball up like snapper. jagging them is kinda cheating, i want to catch a few legit on dough or weed, plenty of em all along the coast. hard fighting fish to keeppeople entertained during the bans
@@Saltfix yeah get them burlied up on bread then the unweighted bread on hook us the go. Caught some big ones off Hillary's rock wall, go real hard and fun to catch. The ones i seen today were massive and we didn't want to catch them as we were catching KG's 🤘. Take care 👍

Thanks heaps mate. We only film pretty basic with Go pros Because it’s easy . Expensive camera equipment is great but not compatible with the salt water environment
17:46-20:09 in this video is snagging fish and not fishing. I think if you look at rules and regs in your area that snagging is illegal. The fish you identified in front of you, was not eating. You ran out of bait, and switched to heavier set up to snag them. Thise fish dont eat what you put down there and your "jig" comes out of the water by 5-6 feet on a miss. 100% not legal... 100% not fishing. You have a platform to be responsible fisherman and get paid for it. Dont fuck it up by being clowns, snagging for views. Anyway good luck.
