I followed your video and my installation went without a hitch. When running the cable through the rear hatch for the rear camera, use the grommet on the right ( passenger side) as there is more space. I sprayed the cable with a bit of WD40 just to make it easier to push through. I used slot 14 and 52 on the fuse panel for power. They are both blank spots. 14 for accessory and 52 for battery.
Pull the trim pieces!!!! You just rendered your side curtain airbag useless by putting the wire from the cam to the outside of the weather stripping over the top of the airbag. Pull the A Panel trim piece off and you'll see what I'm talking about.
I have the very same VIOFO dash camera that I just removed from my '16 Pilot and hope to install it shortly in my '25 Pilot that we take possession of this weekend. Its a really nice camera. Wish you had shown how to remove the A-pillar trim and installed the camera's power wires behind the side air bag instead of in front of it. A-pillar trim on the old '16 model comes off very easily. Sure hope that is true of the '25 model once I get it. I've seen videos from the NHTSA showing the Honda Pilot window and side air bags deploying. Hope I never experience that, but also don't want my dash camera wires getting in the way if that ever happens.
The A pillar comes off by removing the 8mm bolt behind the air bag symbol toward the upper part of the cover. Just make sure to remove the speaker wire once off if applicable
Did you have issues with the power getting to the camera? I did the same install with an A129 and the camera wouldn't work right even though it worked just fine in the car it came out of.
Dang video ended before demonstration on the count of dinner being ready.

Great tip on the alternative fuse positions. Thanks!
Thanks! I've been hesitating doing this.
Glad I could help!
Very easy to do on most vehicles they are just panels that have clips and you get to tuck wires in, simple and easy.

Which fuse you use for ACC and which for Power? Just got the A229 Pro and trying to install on my 2025 Pilot Black Edition.
Nice vid, so you plug it in on fuse #5 which is option. How was it now?
#5 was good for switched power. It's working well.

Hi, the fuse points I used worked reliably so power was not an issue for me.
can you update your link to the fuse page?
