    I believe the non traditional grip with the finger over the bar would expose the index finger to an incoming blade.

      When you defend against a blade, the position of the sai is not such that the blade can struck the finger.

    I'm having trouble understanding the footwork with the loose pants? I do understand that comfortable loose clothing would help with the form though!
    originally came here for art references, but this looks very fun and confidence building as someone with ptsd, I think I'd like give martial arts a try when the pandemic blows over.
    very interesting indeed, thanks. =}

    first its funny that you have bleck belt and you dont have write dimension sai, then what the nam of the form beacuse I didnt hear prsentation of what kata you peform matyoshi style, chatana no sai, and so on...? For me its very poor presentation , but dont be angry that my opinion an mybe I am wrong. Then the sai caame form India, Burma, Malezia and so on, in okinaa tey use jitte, then after came to cine they came o japan alo and ty strat to use tem. Sori I dont ant to be disrespetbut fom m and that , you have blck belt is poor reprsentation. and can you tell me the name of the form or you just improvisaton one? I dont want to be disrespect but for bleck belt...sory man it is poor!
