Naturally Increase Thyroid Function by 20%+ (The Gut-Thyroid Connection)

  • Want an easy way to naturally increase how well your thyroid is working by up to 20%? There's a simple way to do it: by treating your gut.
Your gut and thyroid are connected in several ways and if there's a problem with one, you can guarantee there will be a problem with the other.
There's no scientific study to back my claim that treating your gut can increase thyroid function by up to 20%, but based on my understanding of thyroid physiology, I think it's possible for most people.
    Here's why:
    1. Estimates suggest that 20% of circulating T4 is converted into T3 in your gut.
    2. Healthy bacteria can bind and hold onto thyroid hormones allowing for recycling of these hormones instead of elimination in the stool.
    3. Your gut is the site of the absorption of vitamins, minerals, and nutrients from both the food that you eat and the supplements that you take. Your thyroid needs these nutrients to function optimally.
    4. It’s the site where your thyroid medication is absorbed.
    5. 70% of immune cells live there.
    6. The ratio of good to bad bacteria, known as your microbiome and found in your gut, influences your metabolism and ability to lose weight.
You can heal your gut easily by doing the following:
    1. Putting the right healthy foods into your body.
    2. Removing unhealthy and inflammatory foods.
    3. Taking probiotics.
When opting to take probiotics, look for a probiotic with multiple species. I formulated this one specifically for thyroid patients: www.restartmed.com/product/th...

Most foctor's today are pill pushers and drug dealers. You are the only doctor teaching us about the most important thing, nutrition!!! I agree, this is the best video you've made so far, you are the best of the best out there in the medical field. I wish doctors could be schooled by you or that we could clone you. I'm from a different country and wish I could be treated by you. Thank you for building this legacy and library for us!!

Dr Childs, how much of the colon is involved in that "20%" you referred to? I've had my colon removed and my t3 is chronically low, so I'm curious how much of a "disadvantage" I'm now at due to lacking that organ and it's involvement with t3 and my thyroid

When you speak of "bleeding," are you talking about when you are passing your stool? If so, do you find at those times that you are constipated? It sounds like you may be eating some foods that may tend to constipate, & maybe some grains that may be irritating to your digestive system & making you thus more inflamed & sensitive in your intestines, especially rectally.
If it is constipation that is causing the bleeding you are talking about, supplementation with Magnesium (like peehaps a Citrate & Glycinate mix) will be greatly beneficial in making your stool softer as well as to relax muscles that need to be relaxed.
I hope this gives you some help.
The Lord Jesus help you heal, though. 🙏🏼
