Hi Josephine. Today is Saturday the 31st of October, 2020, and I am watching a few of your videos on my big screen TV. You look so beautiful, and you represent perfumes so well. I am enjoying my collection of perfumes. I can relate to your liking perfumes as I like my perfumes and learning to like them more by wearing them and reading a few books about perfumes that I purchased. They put me in a good mood and sometimes interesting mood. I received in the mail today a bottle of Arpege that lI finally decided to order and the black bottle with the mother and child inscribed in gold is beautiful. I got it at a good price and it came as a tester bottle without the gold lid and it is a 3.3 oz. I was disappointed that the gold lid was not included and it looked bare without the lid. I was lucky to find a beautiful gold lid from another perfume bottle that I don't like that much, and it fits perfectly. I like the scent as I wore Arpege in my 20's and 30s and now I am 73 and I forgot what it smelled like. It smells the same as I remembered it, and I am glad to have it in my collection. It brings back memories of my younger years, and when I will wear it, it's like going to those years again. I still am annoying my age as I have the experience of all those years. I slowed down in collecting perfumes as I have many with a variety of scents and I don't grow tired of them. I still enjoy watching You Tube videos like yours and others. Take Care.
It's so good to hear that someone else isn't blown away by lalique amethyst. My daughter whose 18 loves it she comes in my collection specifically to spray this one. I thought I wkd love it from all the reviews so I keep trying, lol.. If it doesn't grab me in the next month I'll gift it to her..
For me, Amethyst was a love at first sniff! And Narciso Poudree, OMG! What a wonderful, soft, feminine scent! And as you said, very soothing and comforting, perfect for bedtime 🥰
I blind bought the Lalique Amethyst. The lasting power was out of this world. Unfortunately, not my cup of tea. I gave it to my BFF. And she absolutely loved it. A win win! 👍 Great video as always. 😊
I’ve read a lot of reviews that Amethyst is similar to Meliora from PDM. I have a decant but because of a lot of the bad reviews I’ve been putting it off.. I was wondering if you could do a Narciso Rodriguez Cube collection review? I want to get one and I’ve only smelt Ambree. Apparently reviews are all over the place saying the white is the best, Poudree is the ultimate, Rouge is the sexiest 😂 don’t know what to get!
Great video! I have lalique amethyst and I'm still on the fence about it. I like it but I don't know if it's for me..... I also have rose extase by nina ricci and I like it but it's still not sweet enough I am wondering about the lextase one. Have you tried any other nina Ricci's? I think theres rose absolut aswell (black bottle )

It really depends on what you want to create...smoky perfumes can be great with rose and amber can be great with vanilla or fruity florals. Experiment on paper first, then your skin. Try side by side combos as well as pancake layering. Good luck!😊
I’m a little concerned. I just placed an order for Lalique Amethyst a couple of days ago. I love blackberry as a note in fragrances so that’s what sold me. I hope it’s not overly sweet. 😬
I also blind bought Amethyst due to all the UA-cam hype on it and absolutely didn’t like it on my skin. Something about it smelled old and almost musty on me, it made me nauseous throughout the day at work! 😕 as for Poudre, I might have to pull the trigger on it soon lol. I’ve been deciding between that and Narciso in the white cube bottle. 🤪

@@carlywarly4853 Hi, I don't know what is it exactly, but it's unpleasant, heavy, unisex for sure, smoky and very long lasting in a bad way. Seems all youtubers like it and I don't get it!!! I would say save your money for another perfume or at least try to sample it before buying a full bottle.

I’ve had a few unsuccessful blind buys of late after watching some perfume reviews and this Casablanca just keeps popping up and grabbing my attention... yes seems everyone sings its praises and I’ve been so tempted to just blind buy it because of that. By how you’ve described it it doesn’t sound like something I’d actually like either...certainly not what I had in mind. I think you’ve just saved me some money and more disappointment so thank you : )
Amethyst reminds me of something (not a perfume) that I have smelled before in my life. I have tried to figure it out...is it Lemon Pledge, Irish Spring Soap? No. Okay, then is Eucalyptus, is it Aqua net hair spray? NO. Is it urinal cakes? What is it???? i still can't figure it out. But I am like you...I can 't think of any occasion where I would want to wear this. I enjoy the beauty of the bottle and it looks great with my other Lalique perfumes. So far, Soliel is the only saving grace that I have smelled from that house.

I have not tried it yet - not sure I want another sweet gourmand perfume but the smoke note is interesting. Might have to get my hands on a sample.😊
I wear Amethyst Exquise more than the original. The other can be too tart sometimes.
Does the Exquisite last longer than the original version of Amethyst? Thank you.
