I finally had the chance to see Interstellar in IMAX, and I haven't stopped thinking about it since. The movie is incredibly immersive, precise and impactful. The score is one of Hans Zimmer’s best - he did an incredible job of conveying the finality and speculation of the film, as well as the themes of bleak exploration and the loneliness of inevitability. Please enjoy my interpretation of a prominent theme from this score.

I think string instruments are always provide more freedom of expressing than other instruments, but i must admit Hans perfectly chose organ :) he is a genius
I love the sound of a cello. Deep and woody.
The cello is such a haunting sound
Just what is it about this simple melody that we find so touching and so profound? After all, It is just a few notes strung together in a chain. The notes make vibrations in our ears, we then interpret them with our brain as wonderful. Chemicals are then stimulated that are sent to the feeling side of our emotions, we can't really explain the manner in which 'sound' is making us react, but we know somehow, that we adore the way we feel. We are then moved and exhilarated, with tears sometimes. Somehow we are in a place that we love being in, we yearn for more of this place. Either you feel it or you don't, either you love it or you don't. Either it makes you feel love or it does not, either you are moved in your heart or you are not. For me, I can say... I JUST CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF THIS MUSIC! I FEEL IT DEEPLY.

Paul Manning I am not sure whether or not you have watched the film, however if you haven't I really hope you do because this music just ties in so well with the theme and emotions of the film. Nonetheless even if you haven't seen it, your descriptive and passionate appreciation and love of this music makes you very admirable. Truly a gift =D

The cello and violin are those instruments that if you know how to play it makes you AMAZING, but not many people know how to :( its a shame
its not that they don't know how to, it's that they don't have a passion for it. Many instrument professional know their instrument inside and out and want nothing more in their lives expect for that to always be there (obviously with expectionsof life like, marriage, kids, college, etc). there is no way to be bad at playing an instrument. You just have a passion or you do not.
I agree. You're either born with the passion or not, except for those few virtuoso people who do happen to born with an affinity for something. I started out horrid at the violin but I was always passionate about it and now I sit first chair, play in two orchestras, and play most anything you throw at me. It's all about passion.

I love the cello above any instrument and wish I had been bold enough to ask for lessons instead of fear of laughter since everyone else adored the piano, drums or saxophone but listening to all the new talent with the older more experienced talent of playing the cello I am more overwhelmed with my fetish of the cello more than ever. that it actually consumes my thoughts above anything else with the most inner peacefulness and content more than anything else. Which in many ways I believe that is how each cellist feels with their cello. I thank each for their own soul with their cello that creates such a divine difference & beauty to each musical piece they define in their own musical divination from each other. They to me are a symphony in themselves.

This is pure talent. This is actually my favorite movie. For band this year we went down to Florida for the Taxslayer Bowl. On the way home I brought the movie Interstellar, and one of my favorite seniors loves that movie, unfortunately I am a freshman. For her graduation party, I gave her my movie. That was the last night I ever saw her.

You managed to portray the feeling of the movie and the song so well. You didn’t just play it, you managed to encompass the meaning and feeling in that instrument. That in itself deserves commendation.
And I agree, the movie was...unforgettable in its own strange way. It’s now one of my favorites. The soundtrack is still one is listen to constantly. I can never get tired of it.

Man every time I listen to this music, I discover something new about it. Like for example now, My interpretation of the 2 notes at 1:40 is that the first note defines hope and the second for hopelessness at the same time. And that perfectly portrays the state of Cooper in the whole movie. #ZimmerIsGod

Even though Hans Zimmer is my favorite music composer and I would learn from him of becoming a music composer but that is outstanding I loved how you play from other music's with just a cello and put your emotions in it interstellar is my music to listen it may sound boring to others but to me it means a lot to me thank you for playing people just don't know what music means to me including the instrument itself means everything to me it's my world that I live in its my only way for people to hear me speak to share my story in music but not verbally I don't know if I can explain any way I can on my passion for music is in my life.
