It’d be cool to see Gumball Watterson and Robbie Rotten join the roster, Joker would also be cool but he’s basically inevitable
If they included Robbie Rotten, then he wouldn’t be voiced by Stefan Karl Stefanson, and since it would be criminal to replace him, i think it’d be better to just have him be some kind of small cameo, so he doesn’t have to get recast, but he still appears in the game.

If Godzilla does happen for Multiversus, I really hope that they go all out with alts. There are so much varying designs of him, it would be a shame if none got in, and with the idea of different characters being alts, they could even do Mechagodzilla or SpaceGodzilla
Space Godzilla could make sense but personally Mecha-Godzilla is just too different to use as a skin but that’s just me,

My guess for Gizmo and Stripe is that they are a swap characters like Pyra/Mythra and Pokemon Trainer. Two different characters, same fighter slot.
Or they could be like tom and jerry
@@crypticcavern4109 Most likely not. Like Papa says in the video (around minute 11:55), Gizmo and Stripe are maked in the code as "CO23a" and "CO23b", and can even have different skins. This is unlike Tom and Jerry, who are counted as a single character under "C010" and share stuff like skins.

Being real, the Looney Tunes alone could hold an entire fighting game by themselves. I'm super biased too lol so Id really wanna see as many as I can. But still, I bet they wanna prioritize variety with them. Taz is vastly different from Bugs than Daffy in comparison to Bugs.
@@bastian8271 heh, They had one for Gameboy. The plot was centered on Marvin trying to abduct everyone, and stuff. It had a rather long story mode that wasn't PvP, but it also had a PvP mode.
I would like to see Daffy with his original wacky and silly (aka daffy) character design like they portrayed in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Another character that could be wielding a scythe would be Spinel from the Steven Universe movie. In the second half of "Other Friends", the song she sang during her introduction to Steven, she begins swinging around an active Gem Rejuvenator, a gem weapon that resets Gems to their original versions. The Gem Rejuvenator in its active form pretty much looks just like a scythe, with the blade being made of pinkish white energy.
I need to watch steven universe I know very little about it

@@redprimalhp7813 Spinel would be such a great character for this game! If she uses the gem rejuvenator to fight with, there’s a scythe character plus she’s basically a rubber hose character as well so she would have some unique movements ^^

One character I would love to see personally is a Gauntlet character. Like, one that can change between the classic 4 classes for different moves. Gauntlet was one of the first widely known 4-player co-op games, so it seems pretty fitting to add a character representing that series to this game. Bonus points if they come with a Gauntlet announcer pack.
That would be sick, crazy to see someone else wanting Gauntlet to get in, let alone ANY mention of a Midway character outside of Scorpion and Sub-Zero. Rampage characters, or at least alts for Kong and Godzilla would be great too. Maybe Spy Hunter and Joust cameos as well.
I would be down for Midway franchises other than Mortal Kombat to be in this game. George, Lizzie, and Ralph from Rampage is one of my most wanted characters next to Static.
Three characters I would need to see are the Animaniacs
The "Burning City" banner could be a Godzilla thing, given destroying cities is kind of his schtick. I feel like they'd have been more direct if it were a King's Landing reference, since they're specific with other locations.
I'd really like to see Charlie and Pim from Smiling Friends for some more AS reps if not them then Hank Hill. Also Mordecai and Rigby need to be here too.
When it comes to Gizmo/Stripe, an idea I just came up with is that their mechanic would involve Gizmo transforming into his own gremlin counterpart, while Stripe would be an alt costume, both his mogwai and gremlin forms.
This idea also makes it possible for other unique mogwai and gremlins to be alts such as Mohawk, George, Lenny, and Daffy from Gremlins 2.
You know, if Eleven is the first third-party character joining in the roaster soon (based on the leaked fighters) if there was a 2nd third party character joining in Multiverse just like Eleven from Netflix; what about Cuphead. He has a Netflix cartoon series that is popular, and a video game character himself as well. If Cuphead ever has a chance to join in Multiverse I would love to see a funny interaction between him and Bugs Bunny.
Plus his Alt costume Would be Mugman, Similar to jack having cake with different dialogues.

I'm literally begging on my knees for them to add Marvin the Martian to the roster he's my favorite WB and cartoon character ever.
Velma makes reference to a possible Wicked Witch. She says “green with envy” and “taKe your monkeys and get out of here.”
To add on Garnet also has voicelines for not only the Wicked Witch, but Craig and Static Shock. For Craig she has lines like "You know what Craig? I like your staff" and "For the Creek" and for Static Shock she says "It was an honor fighting by your side, Virgil Hawkins"
I’m super excited to see Rick and Morty, Raven and Beetlejuice in Multiversus judging from the data mine.
And about the scythe leak you mentioned, I really hope Grim will be in Multiversus at some point, and I’d also love to see Spinel from Steven Universe the Movie, who also wields a schythe.
Other additional character I’d love to see include Samurai Jack, Courage, Dexter, Blossom, Sloth from the Goonies, the Martian Ambassador from Mars Attacks, Dynomutt, and Captain Caveman.
Okay, it's wild that I've not seen people talk about this possibility, but what if the original characters work like Mii Fighters like Sans and the other ones with really unique assets, so Brute could have a costume for Hulk, WiRalph etc. or Ninja could be Naruto or any other ninja.
That would be really lame honestly. Feels like a way to have characters in the game without actually having them in the game
Could be a really interesting way to work in characters without much in the way of interesting or unique move set potential, Something I could imagine being a huge obstacle for characters from more grounded universes; James Bond, Sherlock Holmes, John Wick etc. Just have a rather generic "action movie character" move set you could quite easily apply to any of them.
This game is just OOZING with potential, and I really hope that this does well because it's been a while since Smash has had any legitimate competition, arguably it hasn't really had any. And this game really does look and sound and feel so good to play that it legit has me looking at getting Steam just to get this game.
35:36 Regarding AVGN's potential, James Rolfe was actully approached for a cameo in Godzilla vs Kong, but turned it down because he was busy with his kids at the time of filming. Not to mention, he did cameo in Smiling Friends fairly recently, so Warner Brothers definitely has him in mind and I think he might actually have more of a shot than some people think lol.
I'd like to see Charlie from Smiling Friends in this game, but he's probably not the most expected pick. It would be funny seeing AVGN up against Bugs Bunny like the Birthday Blowout / Crazy Castle Videos. Finally, if they would add assist trophies (capsules) like smash, I have suggestions including Krypto the Superdog, Brendan from Home Movies, and Rolf from Ed Edd and Eddy.
Honestly, I'd be scared to feature any real person in a game like this. You never know when someone turns out to be terrible, and then you can't really do much.
@@birdflox1337 I totally agree (Pewdiepie Legends of the Brofist is basically ruined bc of Cry), but WB obviously doesn't care. There is a lot of work for LeBron James and Space Jam based stuff, so there not much in the way of James besides WB, Screenwave Media and James' personal life. As far as these other cameo appearences mentioned in the original comment, it might be harder to be in Multiversus because some companies might not want their IP next to real people not linked to Hollywood in some way. I hope he gets in, but I feel that he might be the devs' last resort button (kinda like Hugh. I doubt Viacom would choose Hugh if the game wasn't dying).

Btw a few of those alternate costumes were available in the previous play test. I'm not sure about the first play test, but when I played those skins they looked great. Hula and Space Velma are good.
Edit: i forgot about the Blue Diamond ringout. That was in the last test as well. It's very nice. Oh yeah and Lady Unicorn. When I entered this test I was surprised to see it removed for the time being.

Garnet's first costume is based on when she was first created (when Ruby and Sapphire first fused together) and her second is a more recent iteration, shortly before Steven was born
The "Scythe Trail" excites me cause Ruby and a Ninjago character are my two most wanted here (unless you count Velvet, also from RWBY but that's sadly never gonna happen)
Same I wish Ruby Rose 🌹 From RWBY Series it was very possible that we might see Ruby & His other friends like: Weiss Schnee/Yang Xiao Long & Blake Belledonna but sadly no I think you’re right not sure what Tony Huynh is going to say to expect & experience this new Anime fighter in MultiVersus but I don’t know I’ll say probably 90% *RUBY Rose* Might become a new Playable character in MultiVersus.
As for the scythe stuff, I think Ruby Rose is very possible, could also be Spinel
I literally am bitting on my controller on who will be involved, since this is basically the invitation to let different characters across the WB universe and Dc as well even Cartoon Network come in and battle it out. I can’t wait to see the open beta out for July.

This might be an unpopular opinion but honestly I do like the idea of the orginal characters going from beta designs to actually appearing in the game. It's like if Smash added a low poly guy as a reference to when it was originally Dragon King the Fighting Game.
Godzilla in multiversus, though it would be fun, but that’s just overkill
If we've got a Cake alt we need Fiona for Finn. I wonder if they'll treat characters like Injustice 2 did as Legendary skins, if they would just be the same fighting style or too similiar powers (Wonder Woman and Nebula) and just make them an alternate skin instead of a brand new character.
Honestly, Lantern has alot of potential in his moveset because of how creative the ring lets him be so I do hope he gets in. And then you can give him Guy Gardner, John Stewart, Kyle Rayner, maybe even Jade alts, if they do the method above.
I think MK has to get in at some point they'll probably go Scorpion/Sub-Zero that's kind of the classic pair. I'd love to see Johnny though.

If Scorpion *does* make it into the game, I wonder if he'd be the Ryu of MultiVersus, considering he's from a fighting game. Animaniacs would also be pretty fun, they could be a Pokemon Trainer-type character who can swap out with one another. First thing I could think of when "Rex" is perhaps a dinosaur? But if this turns out NOT to be an OC, I could see it being Generator Rex, however unlikely that is.
Speaking of, I think I saw somewhere that Godzilla has had some info datamined, too: apparently he can summon buildings, build up nuclear power and he retains the signature Atomic Breath. Really hope he makes it in soon.
seeing as characters have a sort of rune system, he could have one that opts into the more fighting game elements. so hes still true to his character but people who want to play him but dont want to worry about inputs and facing stuff dont have to

Tbh, if Scorpion or Sub-Zero do get added, I hope they don’t give them input commands and I hope they don’t make them automatically face their opponents in a 1v1 battle. I just want them to have their attacks from their series while also feeling like normal characters.
Those gizmo line about birthdays and Christmas are also in the files for other characters like finn and iron giant who sings jingle bells, im assuming when you pick them on your birthay or during holidays they say these lines. I also wanted to mention that the move bugs uses where he pulls out a random item out of a box has a chance for him to pull out shaggy sandwich AND a mr Meeseeks box AND on top of that Lebron James has two voice lines of him mentioning that Sanchez’s meeseeks are strong or annoying, so I think Rick has a meeseeks box as a move. Interesting stuff I can’t wait
Man... I hear "Rex" for this game in particular and my mind immediately goes to Generator Rex, which would be kinda awesome if he showed up here.
Mine went to LEGO Movie 2 Rex, but honestly Generator Rex would be way cooler
fun fact: most of the alts leaked are available in the lab if you put both of your charachter choices on random and keep resetting you will eventually find them in game as either you or your oponent
Yeah, that does... interesting stuff. Like we know there's multiple costumes for seemingly everyone already. How they'll be unlocked in the full release I don't know though.
As a CN fan who doesn't care for Johnny Bravo, I still am kind of sad that there hasn't been much else confirmed, other than Craig, who I am, admittedly quite hopeful for. Here's some stuff I'd wanna see:

8:16 the Rex character could be Rex Salazar from Generator Rex, which was a cartoon network show back from the 2000s
Due to licensed and sold materials, I think gizmo may transform Into a gremlin. Gizmo working with stripe seems kind of odd due to their nature's and since they're coded differently than Tom and Jerry, I don't think they'll play like them. However, Funko has released a pop figure and t-shirt for a "never before seen gizmo as a gremlin". I don't see why such a huge deal would be made in making this unless there were plans to market more on this concept, i.e. Multiversus
I think they'll make them work similar to Peach and Daisy, or Samus and Dark Samus, where they're echo fighters

I completely agree with that. I think Gizmo transforming into a Gremlin would be so much better honestly. I recently saw someone talk about it on a Twitter thread and they came up with some great ideas for Gremlin moves and alts.
Well Gizmo does turn into a gremlin in Lego Dimensions so I don’t see why they couldn’t just do that again

Along with Daffy Duck, I'd really love to see *Scorpion* and *Sub-Zero* from _Mortal Kombat_ in there. Given that they're both from a Warner Bros- owned company (NetherRealm Studios) and they've both done relatively fine in less gory fighting games (namely, _MK vs. DC Universe_ and the _Injustice_ series) and they're the most iconic pair in the series, they'd be a natural pick. Plus, with both Shaggy and Daffy in there, it'll give you the opportunity to do full versions of those Warner Bros intros ("Like, get over here, man!") from the animated films!

The jakesuit sounds awesome. Some acceleration based bar of arrows on both player’s screens and slidey, ramp-up/ramp-down movement controlled by jake, alongside an instantaneous (small) dash on a cool down, and Finn gets to do a slow, top to bottom swing with his sword after a .5 second charge up (over-encumbered by Jake’s suit of course 🤓) or using a wizard ring to blow a gust of air propelling him upwards for a short time and sucking enemies into its vortex before dropping down on them. Oh yeah and you’d have hyperarmor. I haven’t had hands on the game so I don’t know how balanced it would really be but it’s such a novel team power which would feel awesome to pull coordinated hits off with. If I’m not painting a very pretty picture just imagine a character built around Wario’s motorcycle move, but with different direction changing mechanics and invisible charge up on the attacks to allow coordination.
I’m the guy behind the Rocko for NASB and Gremlins for Multiversus account. If Gremlins got in I would be so hyped. My most wanted characters for both games would be in!

I always forget Warner Brothers owns Rooster Teeth. That's such a weird thing to me. Obviously, if any RT-made character would get into the game, someone from RWBY (probably Ruby herself) would be the most likely, but imagine the absolutely insane scenario where they add a Red vs. Blue character instead. It would be pretty cool to see the machinima-style of animation get some more mainstream attention, and what better way to do it then with the series that introduced most people to the concept of machinima. It's extremely unlikely, but I think it'd make a surprisingly large amount of people surprised and happy (especially if they ignore stuff from some of the later seasons, and mainly focus on the earlier seasons for inspiration).

@@WhatDoIDoOrSay the game has cross progression which is a 1up from Brawlhalla, but touch control buttons are pretty bad option hopefully Bluetooth controllers are a simple option to use for controls

So glad you mentioned LEGO Dimensions, as it was the last time WB did a crossover video game of this scale, but also because I’ve been considering the idea of it being one of the potential universes within Multiversus! Perhaps with Dimensions’ main villain Lord Vortech being a playable character?
And, although I would be very interested to see how Emmet would play in Multiversus, one other character I’d personally be more interested in seeing is Chase McCain from LEGO City Undercover. I’ve previously thought about him being a dream pick for Smash Bros as a character who “technically” originated in a video game. But now with Multiversus that actually feels like a potential possibility, however unlikely it may seem.
(Small sidenote but when you mentioned the name of Rex my biased mind jumped to Rex Fury, the primary antagonist of City Undercover, who would also be cool to see although I won’t get my hopes up for him.)
Whether these predictions happen or none of them do, can never have too many crossover games to be excited for.

Warner Bros distributed Generator Rex on Cartoon Network. I really liked the show and it ran 3 seasons, 60 episodes. Is there anything that hard confirms that "Rex" is an OC for the game or just speculation? The moveset for Rex, assuming it is Generator Rex, would be really diverse given how he has nanites that can change into all sorts of stuff like weapons. Apparently the used Generator Rex, in a younger form, with a 2021 Ben 10 episode that I am not familiar with.
Eleven would be such a cool character and a great character for Multiversus

I may not have gotten Master Chief in smash but Godzilla here would be so much cooler for me, I'm hoping he makes it in. Honestly I'm surprised he got leaked before Kong, considering he actually is Warner IP and it's a team game I really thought they'd be together but I'm sure he'll make it in regardless.
There is so much characters that could make an appear in this game, if they would get some not wb characters this would be interesting.

I wanna put this out there again. Hulk’s distribution rights are owned by universal, not Disney. So a deal could be struck differently with hulk instead of say iron man. This is similar to Spider-Man being owned by Sony.

the burning city banner looks like a scene from adventure time, its only seen for a few seconds, but the actual city is later seen in the show just not on fire. the burning city scene is Marceline as a child looking back at a burning city
Spoilers for the Watchmen graphic novel;
The Watchmen explosion could also refer to Ozymandias’ plan to unite the world by dropping a bomb on New York City(at least I think it’s New York, I don’t remember) which unleashes a giant monster on the city. That could make for a cool stage if we get Watchmen stuff in the game.
