And still no answer as to the price. No one is going to agree to being charged "Some unknown amount" in the future. As someone that purchased your "Mix and Master in FL Studio" bundle and was looking forward to purchasing more courses from you, Your lack of transparency and this greasy little shit-weasle/slimey used car salesman hard sell has irreparably damaged your reputation and future sales. Let me be blunt... put the f-ing bong down.
Why maximus gives us distortion, weird pumping effect in mastering stage? When 808 hits its getting pumping effect and post gain knob give us saturation lots of like un-noticable textures coming in.
Good stuff as usual. I feel i always get something out of these tips even if its just a few pointers implemented, they always make for an improved final.
finally! A video without the AI voice that's used in basically every single commercial and low effort video on youtube (not saying yours was that - but it's just the go-to voice for literally every short form / ai generated vid on YT these days)
This is dopeeeeeeeeeeeeeee for sure , Thanks for each tips , It took me years to learn this . I'm so happy to subscribe for you . And I am wondering you make detailed video like this one on stereo imaging.
Good video! I would like to mention that there is no right or wrong when talking about making music. Other people on youtube like Zen world (evosounds) learned me to listen to your ears and use reference tracks. trust the process and 'just' listen. And what about mixing low frequencies in mono to lessen the muddiness?
He shows that at the beginning of the complete mastering tutorial from a few years ago. Export in 32 bit float and when you add it to the new project just make sure to normalize it.
2:43. I just linear phase lowpass the sub after the gain automation….mainly use linear phase mode so it doesn’t increase the db level (as much). It just lowers the infinite (not actually in a daw but, Yee) harmonics that an abrupt cut ads in so, it basically does that automation for you. Which is crucial for me as my drums aren’t always doin the same thing…and I’m lazy. Also, with sub, there’s a harmonic balance you can get for optimal listening on any device. You can saturate or use a tri for something similar but, the noise nd distortion in serum aren’t perfectly consistent so, shiz can get a lil weird unless you pray to the phase gods first. It’s usually cleaner to do 2 serum instances with all 4 oscillators active playing the first 4 harmonics. You kinda wanna find what looks like a sine with 2 lil blips in there, closer to the z crossing. Ya also want it to sorta (not exactly) look like a low passed saw wave through a spectral analysis tool (I legit just toggle and use a parametric eq’s heat map set to linear phase on my master for this since I’m the most familiar with it). The reason why using 4 separate osc’s is nice is, after setting the phase rand to 0, you have complete control over the phases’s rotation as well as the amplitude…nd now ur the sub master. It sounds super nerdy but, just set that rand to 0 nd mess with the phase nd gain knob of each osc for a few hours. At some point, you will just know when that sub is dope. I think it’s worth being super technical with low-end like this since, it is actually the foundation that the rest of the harmonics have to ride. You mess it up nd, ur in for a world of self gas-lighting via trying to solve non existent problems forever. U can also just use melda’s bassador plugin. It kinda just does that to a sin wave tho, it’s not perfect so, knowing what’s happening is nice. Also, if ya still like the distorted sound, you can clip a sine to a noise in another instance nd highpass it to simulate distortion. Yet again, all of this sounds super annoying but, set it up in patcher and you only have to do it one time.
Hello Max! Can you either use fruity limiter from kick to sidechain the bass? I understand that is another way to achieve the same result that you are explaining in the video and even faster than automate volumen from the bass channel in the mixer. Tell me if this is right or Im missing something. Thank you!
Dude, I know you guys have to make money somehow but why do you make us go through so many steps to just download an infographic. I clicked the link, gave my email adress, then you sent me an email with another link to "get the goodies". I clicked it and there are no "goodies" because I need to register to the website and put in my email again. Just send the infographic as an email attachment because all of those steps made me think that I'm good without that infographic and its a waste of time.
These guys are a bit cheesy and it feels like the way they market themselves works mostly for a younger crowd. That said i have really enjoyed Max courses, but over time they have just become a little to agressive in their way of doing bussines, but thats just my taste.
Hey, I'm really sorry about that did you scan the QR code at the end of the video? We send the infgraphic direct download link straight to your inbox. We actually started out with the new website and I really want to make it the easiest for you to get the infographic. Please write me on Live-Chat at mixelite.com if you have any issues.
I dont quite understand the part with soothe2 and instruments. I get that the vocal lowers the volume of the instruments, but i dont understand what it has to do with deessing.
is there a way us to use 1 filter to multiple mixer channels without routing or using fruity sender. as an example ; i have multiple dubbing layers that I'm working on and there is a tiny bit of background noise coming through each and every layer. i want to clean them up using GOYO and then add vocal processing to each and every mixer channel. in order to do this I have to add GOYO to every mixer channel and it is using lots of CPU usage. is there any way to use effects as a passthrough or something like that without adding it to every single mixr chnl. plz reply
I think the biggest tip is, look how he’s applying changes. It’s not in a vacuum. He try’s out the change in isolation but is actually tweaking stuff while the entire track is playing….Do that.
"You’ll be charged on Nov 13. Cancel anytime before." Charged how much? You never tell. You even have a FAQ that fails to answer the most important question. How much AFTER the free trial?

Question, can you pay monthly for your tutorial course or is it one full payment for the year? Would rather pay monthly if that was an option.

Okay Subbed.
This is all very helpful. I'm not doing any of this though. Soft clipper and calling it a day lol.
Imagine if you did all this AND added a soft clipper after! :D

Any videos on getting a good kick to bass level?
bro can you make a tutorial on how to bounce a mixed song with all the plugins to save CPU power in order to proceed with the mastering?

Nice video bro! Any tips about how to mix like the big ones? their tracks look like a completely horizontal en sounds good, how can i make that?

This new side chaining needs to be learnt .. short video of it soon

When I try your sidechain trick, i ger clicks from the sudden LFO changes of the volume... is there some error i am doing?

@skjortan this is honestly one of the best channels I've seen and I've probably been producing way longer than this guy
Can you guy olease also show us how to mix and master R&B and also hip hop
that knock2 drop haha
🔥🔥🔥
How can u still add reverb to your vocals if u use Sooth?
I dont quite understand the part with soothe2 and instruments. I get that the vocal lowers the volume of the instruments, but i dont understand what it has to do with deessing.
I noticed you have your parametric eq 2 named as 1parametric eq 2, i do the same thing to keep it on top of my plugin list 😂
Haha :)
Life hacks on every second.
Which is that bgm used in intro? Reply pls

Why my mid in vocal sound terrible ?

YES!
You should try to match your voice volume with the music, the difference between them makes my ears bleed when the music comes...
First time in 5 years of making youtube video do I get this comment haha do you have a moment that you think is specifically wrong?
How is that sidechain done in 2:25?
i thought he was gone
