The recording quality is great. I'm glad there's a permanent record to commemorate Grimethorpe's 1976 USA tour. Up to this moment I had no idea any recordings were made during that tour and I've been a fan of the band since the early 1970s. It also commemorates the virtuosity of the band and its then principal cornet Tom Paulin. Many thanks.
I obviously recorded the whole concert. When I went to the North American Brass Band championships in 2003 with the New England Brass Band in Little Rock AK I was able give a cd to the 1st baritone player who played on the recording, the only member left. Grimethorpe was a guest of NABBA at the event.

Wonderful. Was this really recorded in the USA?
I recorded it with 2 Nueman U87's into a Crown 1/2 track recorder.
