I great, just Great! the incorporation of Humor in Music in these times of a desabled World, I feel like a musician while the Titanic sinks, Unmatched Honor and Privilege. I don't even feel bad in these terrible and wrong times. ( Musicians Bow to you all out there.)
Reminds me of the great Joe Venuti, a great practical joker. Once he called up every tuba player in the NYC directory and had them meet on the corner outside his apartment. Hundreds of confused tuba players were scratching their heads wondering where the gig was. It caused a severe road block. Mind you the local MU made him pay for their time! On another occasion at interval he put loads of flour down the tuba while the player was elsewhere. You can guess what happened.

The full band version is not published, to the best of my knowledge. The quintet version is available on Just Brass ( I think). Glad you enjoyed it. Keep sharing. Wrong. It wasn’t in NYC; it was in L.A., and there certainly weren’t “Hundreds” of tuba players there-maybe 6 or 7.
