I liked the plaid but I agree that you need to make it suit YOUR style and preferences. Great job!
My favorite thing about your redesigning of your jacket was definitely your technique for making Continuous Bias Tape. And, I love your Jacket much more without the plaid trimming. Great Project! Thanks for sharing!
Me too!
This is the exact idea I’ve been wanting to do repurpose thrifted items…bought a sewing machine and been binging sewing videos….I was not prepared for how meticulous sewing can be ….very inspired by your channel and projects but not as confident as I was before Lol grew up with my gma hemming and sewing our clothes so I wasn’t completely unaware but definitely having second thoughts…anyway great video!
Nice job! I liked your creative problem solving, and the end product looks great. Thrifting and altering fit or style can be an adventure as well as improve your understanding of construction and improve your sewing skills. Again, bravo!
Looks great - really nice job you did there and I loved the way you explained it, which was clear and to the point. 😊👍🐸
Awesome work. This kind of project can often be daunting but you have just proven that with some thoughtful time and effort you can achieve a great result.
Yes, I was definitely scared to start but I'm really happy with how it turned out!
You managed to turn out some good results again! Congrats to you.
Great refashion! I think the plaid with the shape of the jacket gave it a bit of a old lady feel, but the monochrome update with the boxy shape says more Eileen Fisher than LL Bean. Love it!
Dont know if you guys gives a damn but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times then you can watch all of the new movies on InstaFlixxer. I've been binge watching with my brother lately xD
@Kendrick Roland definitely, have been watching on InstaFlixxer for since december myself :)
Got so much inspiration! Next time, if you need to stitch close to the buttons, use zipper foot, that way you can sew closer. And I totally agree - it is so much easier to fit this toned down jacket to your (or any) wardrobe. I am all about clothes that go with everything :) Love your videos, thank you!
Ahh I should have done that! Thanks for the tip! :)
You did such a great job! I'm inspired. I love seeing refashions like this, especially as we start doing more thrifting and want to modernize the things we buy to suit our style, it's great to see how it's done!
Thank you so much!!
Love your upcycling project ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Looks good both ways. Well done for giving it a go.
you did a marvelous job. thank you
I like your better, its neutral can be worn with any color, great job👍🏽
You did a fab job! Looks great 😍
Thank you!! 😊
So excited to see you have a UA-cam channel. Found you last night on pinterest. Loved the changes to the jacket. Moght have to dust off my sewing machine.
Yes! Thank you!
You are such an inspiration! And I agree with you, NO NO on plaids except maybe a Black Watch kilt. I found a great resales store near my home but because of the pandemic, did not get a chance to go back after my first purchase. My first re-fashion attempt didn't go too well but I am set to try again now that I am vaccinated. Thanks for your blog.
Yes, definitely try again! I've failed many times but it's all part of the learning process :)
I love the jacket you did a beautiful job!!❤️🇨🇦
Thanks so much!
Wow, fantastic job! And I agree, I like the new look better than the tartan.
Thanks you! :)
Never thought of this! I will definitely be trying this :)
Yay, I hope it turns out well! :)
Both finishes are nice, but your modifications make it possible for it to go with anything :)
I agree! :)
Your videos are so relaxing!
Glad you like them!
Quilters clips!! They will make it so much easier to pin thick layers. 😉
I should have gotten those! I might have to order some for next time!
Brilliant job!
Thank you!
Great job well done.
Great job
Famous last words "Im just gonna see how it goes" haha
Gut gemacht.
Great Job. Like the new look much better.
Thanks!
Those of us that sew constantly are a alwayss to learn something, And that I did when you cur the bias binding I was like what is she doing. Super Golden Nugget,
Good job
Молодец девочка
do you do custom work
would have kept the plaid but i love the result!!
Thank you :)
Beautiful! Red plaid needed to go, too trendy from the wrong era.
Haha I agree!
