Nice cut quality! Yes, I use my tractor belly mower as often as possible. The tractor has a rougher ride than the zero turn, but the satisfaction of using the tractor is better. Please buy your wife a salon treatment to make amends for the bug bites!
I like using it in this tall grass as opposed to the zero turn. It’s usually wet down here so there are only a few times a year when we can mow it. I don’t think the zero turn would have made it through yesterday. Plus the cab is nice to avoid all the dust ! She likes the salon idea
There was no rhyme or reason for having the tiller on, we just had it on and had to take it off, and that’s the order we did it in. The tractor will ride over the mower deck just fine without the tiller 👍
Great video. Love all that open space you have. As for height adjustment you have pins on each side of the tractor and mower that once connected should be on the bottom position for mowing. The front you should be able to unbolt from the mower and turn each mount in to gain a little height or leving of the front end of the mower. But this may already be fine.
Did you know that you don’t have to use forks to move the mower around? Just take the bucket of and you cans lift it sir the bare loader connections by pointing the loader down and indexing them into the hooks on yellow drive over ramps
I have the same set up with the 72” deck… 2.5” rear wheel spacers… with the belly mower low center of gravity I don’t feel like it would tip, that mower is several hundred pounds. I am looking for the Yellow mower lift brackets for my deck. Could you let me know where and what part# you ordered?
I have this tractor with everything you have, but I do put the ballast box on the back and lower it half way. I also installed 3 1/2" rear wheel spacers to try to stabilize the tractor more. You have to be careful with this tractor, because it is top heavy and feels tippy even with what I have done. In those cases, I run up and down the hill. What I don't like about the tractor is the passenger door will not stay open. I bought a shock to hold it open. The A/C does not recirculate the inside cab air that much so the filter on the outside gets stopped up quickly. The radio and speakers suck. $500 for a Jensen radio, really. The loader bends too easy. Lift capacity on the loader is low. I couldn't even lift a half pallet of sod. If you back up without over riding the PTO safety when cutting grass, it kills the tractor. There is a bypass procedure on UA-cam, Thank God! Lighting with is not very good at night even if you switch the bulbs out to LED. I am trying to figure a way to mount a lightbar at the top of my windshield. Brackets are the issue.
^^ This is all great and I would recommend this comment to anyone thinking about buying the 3046R. I do think it is in need of some updates. Especially the loader joysticks and cables. I would like to see them a lot smoother. Kubota’s tractors do it ride. Their loaders are smooth and feel like a skid steer
Good video. Looks like the mower does a good job. I'm considering a 3032r to compliment our 5065e and may get the mower deck for the 32r. Like others have said, wouldn't a batwing style wider mower make sense for as much mowing as you have there? I totally understand using what you have but am curious..
Nice job on video..question. How do you; clear all that tall grass from area mowed? Do you leave it? Bag it? Not a farmer, just wondering. Provide a littel more explantions for us city folk wishing we had a farm..VJ
We will let it dry for a few days and than hit it again with the mower. It’s WET and LONG right now so it’s clumping up. Once it’s dry, I’ll lift the mower deck up and hit it again which will throw it out the side and spread it a bit better
What made you choose a 3 series? Price? With as much area as you have I’d have got a 4 series so I could pull a 10’ batwing. I’m sure your machine could pull it and run it just as well, the cabs are the same as a 3 series but you have larger engines to choose from, can never have enough power.

I noticed you had the tiller on initially for weight to offset driving over the mower perhaps was the idea.

I need one of these in my life

@@dryrunoutdoorsalso Mutton Power Equipment has a 10 year old video on YT showing the side pins and adjustment I was referring to.
A cheap rotary or flail mower would do a lot better in that stuff. Love the 3046R though it’s a fun machine.

Yes we used those load n go ramps often. To save some space in the garage, we typically stored them under the forks

Hey Thomas, sorry I bought the tractor used and it came with it. Check out GreenFarmparts.com though. They may have if. Use discount code DRYRUN

I’m a Deere guy, but I’d use a 72” deck Toro for this application.
Gotta love the zero turn

I actually use a z970r zero turn. Very fast.

4 series are nice but I believe I’d have to park it outside. This 3046r just barely fits in my shop.
@@dryrunoutdoors snow? They have several videos with your machine with a humongous blower on theirs, eats it right up. Thank god I don’t need one lol.
That’s a job for a flail mower.
