Fujifilm's marketing are so terrible, this is why their product only go to niche market and will always be number three or four. The event also looks boring as f*ck they should be ashamed. But we love your content man. Keep doing that!

I was fully expecting Fuji to send you a review copy of the lens, Omar, so I’m really surprised to see you had to go to an event to test the lens. I have been disappointed with Fuji’s approach of sending the lens mostly to retailers and ambassadors, and this video really underscores that disappointment.
Bad form for whoever from Fuji was there and didn’t know you. 1- If you invite someone you should know. 2-They should replace their entire sales team with you.

How can Fujifilm not know who you are by now? I was into the system long before I discovered your channel, but I can't think of another UA-cam Fuji user who has your sense of humour and honest commentary.
Don’t think you sold me on one, but found your channel because of searching for content on it. I love the little thing. I took your advice on the hand grip and thumb grip though, and it has made a big difference in ergonomics. Top buttons are slightly awkward with a thumb grip, but a minor issue. I still have my Canon 80D, it is better for certain situations, esp with bigger heavier lenses. I lose count of how many times people have asked my if my X-T20, the one with a silver top plate, is a film camera, esp since the thumb grip looks like a film lever in passing. And that’s very useful for staying unnoticed by people in general when shooting street, with no mirror-slap and ability to go completely silent of I want.
Bought the X-T20 before I knew you Omar. But you learned me so much (I was such a rookie), in a most pleasant way (helpful and fun). And since then I bought three extra Fujifilm lenses. Just saying. Always looking forward to seeing new content of you.

I am curious why Fuji will sell a lens that’s over $1000 and not put a security seal on the box. I bought the 56mm Viltrox lens recently and there were 2 factory seals on the box. I started wondering about this issue after buying the Fuji 100-400 which retails for about $1900 and it was defective. Now I have the hassle of having to return the Fuji lens. By the way, I am happy with the 56mm Viltrox.
I'm pretty sure everyone with a Fujifilm camera in the US knows Omar. Man had the tutorials on UA-cam no one else did. He pretty much became synonymous with the Fuji community. Fuji needs to invest in their marketing team more! I've been noticing more and more people are starting to use Fuji P.S: I will say that one small event doesn't necessarily speak on behalf of the entire brand! Fujifilm, if you look it up, is actually a complete empire. If Fuji acknowledged it's online influencers more, that would be fantastic.

Thank you for the first impressions review, I do have the XF 50 f/2 and it’s one of my favorite lenses (along with the XF 35 f/2), it focuses really fast and it’s very sharp, of course you have to take my opinion with a grain of salt, I shoot everything at f/8 (LOL), Stay safe Omar.
Good first impression vid, curious to see what you see at the computer. The price jump is pretty steep, but I get it on launch. We'll see if this gets some of the "rebate" love like most of their lenses do throughout the year. Did you get to try out the 50mm f2? I currently rock that and am pretty happy with it for the family portraits I do a few times a year, pretty solid lens for $400ish (less if you buy used like I did).
Excellent images with that 50mm Omar. Have a nice FF 85 feel to them. And you should easily be a Fuji ambassador, but I have a feeling they won’t like you using your Sony for paid work. ;)
Omar, I close down UA-cam pretty quickly if there isnt a new video by you. The only reason I'm sticking with my XT3 despite having transition problems from Sony APS-C is because I know you'll make me miss the Fuji system. Can't believe they didnt know you. Buy the Sony A7C and leave Fuji behind 😂
Fuji people has always been more about doing the actual stuff than marketing, and that's why they do so great products. Think about them as the camera boomers =). BTW I still watch you even after switching to the Nikon Z6
