- When we spoke for the podcast mid 2018, Adam Greentree had just come back from a solo back-country hunt in New Zealand... It was on this hunt that mother nature tried to kill our favourite bow hunter at every turn.

We got some unforgiving bush here in New Zealand
Adams story about new zealand was epic. Loved it. Keep up the great podcast.
Sounds like the first time I played ARK Survival Evolved.
I bet you were so scared! poor little thing
Adam tells a great story
yeah he does!
I work for DOC (NZ) as a ranger in Chirstchurch our part of the land is amazing and brutal land also :D
🥴
Cant wait for for detail on the latest one, sounds 10x worse and did have to get the EVAC out.
Yeah keen as to get him on!
Mad respect
Um, Adam, that's not entirely true because New Zealand has a huge problem with the government carrying out 1080 poisoning, which is killing indiscriminately, even farm animals are being poisoned.
This guy has some of the best stories! Dead set legend
The big struggle in a situation like that is mental. Some people just freeze and quickly run out of strength to continue.
Great podcast. For all new hunters ... NZ back country is nothing to be fked with !!
Mate you gotta make a choice, and stick to it.....don't lie to yourself. If you wanna do it do it.....if you don't don't.....talk to your woman, your kids and don't fudge, don't ask them for the answer to your inner conflict, like your on the mountain fella, solve it, decide or shut the fuck up about it. Spend some time with men and leaders of men, they will put you straight mate, simple guys who spend their lives in jeopardy are always humble,
Really, he got was he was looking for. The most extreme adventure
Danger.
Abject fear.
Elation.
Exhaustion.
That's Tahr shooting in S.Island.
Enjoyed the story,cheers
Just about every Mountain hunter I know in NZ has had one or more dicey experience hunting Tahr and Chamois. It's common. I would not say it's extreme, it's almost standard, especially in South Westland
Please also send the links to the podcasts where they are sharing their stories so that eveyone can enjoy. Thanks.
i thought this was gonna be about when his gun jammed in front of a bear
Similar motivation to Alex Honnold hey.
Hunting wildlife as a hobby has a way of mother earth nature getting it back, GPS coms malfunction and coordinants fail is just as.sample of it.
Sooo part two incoming now? 🤔😅
Yep! We literally just got off the phone ha
GYPSY TALES nice man 👍🏻 i can also see adam on jre again 😂
That is fucking hectic and worthy of a film.
Holy F--- what a story man. Sorry what a nightmare. I really like this guy, he's so real.
It's called "The call of the void"
That's the difference between a average man and the real outdoorsman surviving!
I’m cold just thinking about him crossing those rivers!
I used to be an adventurer like you. Then i took an arrow to the knee.
Underrated comment😂
Prehistoric meme
Come Back to New Zealand
He went again this year and almost died again! He's coming back on the podcast soon to talk about it. Thanks for the comment, hopefully your subscribed for the next podcast with him.
@@GYPSYTALES Man this country needs to chill. I know he's Australian but this man's a savage and he has my respekt.

It's fucken genetic mate
Sorry but have to call BS
I'm curious if you'll keep pushing your luck knowing you have a wife and child at home? Seems careless and selfish
So tell us about illegal hunting Adam...
U do know the judge dismissed that case right?
@@dangerousdylan6262 wrong. He voluntarily pleaded guilty to the offence of shooting the animal in a national park.
Don’t come much clearer than that.
the magistrate chose s10(b) - an order discharging the person under a conditional release order (in which case the court proceeds to make a conditional release order under section 9). The condition is the good behaviour bond.
I believe that because there is a plea of guilty and no order that the charge is dismissed (s10(a)), the conviction remains temporarily on his record for the duration of the good behaviour bond. He'd need a s10(a) to have it disappear entirely at the time of sentencing.
Adam is better than tikka
@@Ntdirtbiker2 wipe your chin.. At least I don't cheat for clicks and sponsorship.
Fuck off Tikka
Great storyteller! Love this shit.
