- Adam Greentree is an Australian bow-hunting icon and all around top bloke. Adam is a guy that I have admired for a couple of years now through not only his bow-hunting exploits and the way that he documents his insane solo back country hunts, but also for his outlook on life and struggle. With his fan based being mostly US, he's a great ambassador for all Australians and it was a pleasure to sit down with him in Newcastle this week for this epic edition of the Gypsy Tales Podcast!

Saw Adam on the Rogan show, didnt know anything about him before this but what a helluva fun 3 hours listening to these two, they drop more F bombs than the boys and I around the fire pit on a Friday nite.

I'm at the 39 minute mark. I think that the ability to absolutely unequivocally cut BS out of your life, AND being able to accept that you have to...it's not your fault. I really believe that is the key to happiness in the world. True , deep happiness.

Cool podcast, became a fan of Adam Greentree just the other day after stumbling upon him in an interview with Joe Rogan. Starting watching his bow hunting videos and noticed his bow hunts with Cameron Hayes, and yes I agree Rogan should go to Australia to bow hunt. Damn I would if I ever had that chance. Liked listening to this podcast as well, like the way you guys seen things especially life - Im gonna have to apply some of the things you discussed into my life. Simply cutting the negatives out and staying with the positives........fan of you both! Good podcast, you both have a new fan now from Canada!!

What amazes me is the amount of people who fish but will criticise hunters.
Fishing is way more cruel compared to a one shot quick kill.

But how adam does try to explain is very respectfull and true so no need to hate...if it comes to it, even.

I say the same. Everyone is happy to kill a rat or a spider. Hunters don’t base their decisions on the appearance of an animal. Every animal is just being what it is.
Isn’t he up for poaching charges in Australia? I recently heard that but couldn’t find anything besides some court appearance
He escaped conviction and was fined for killing a deer on private property NOT national parkland. Was fined $3300 per charge (not sure how many charges were laid).
Please note Rabbits are pests to farmers and the land.
My first kill was by hand at 9yo in Navarre we were meant to hunt with guns but i burnt down the hay shed all the livestock feed🥺 and became one of the dogs for the day.
I caught my first rabbit and was told i had to stand on it's heads and pull it's hind legs as i was too small to do it in just my hands.
They said i need to understand that part of the hunt and feel appreciation.
It was a sad relieved and thankful feeling all in one.
It was then cooked that night at the main hall for end of year footy and netball and i had to also apologize for what i did and that i hoped they accept my rabbitin efforts in return.
Which they did.
It tasted amazing as a stew and i appreciated my food more that way than how we eat today.
No one "seems" to appreciates their supermarket grub as it's bought by money.
