    So how exactly turn knowledge into action? By listening to elders? Isn"t it just acquiring more knowledge?

      He's saying something so ordinary it's barely worth mentioning. He says that we should learn from those who know, and those who know should give their knowledge freely.

      If you’re looking for the part, it’s at 0:38, where he explains that knowledge alone isn’t enough, it needs to be practiced and applied to become meaningful. He talks about how Shaolin monks transform their teachings into action through consistent routines like martial arts, meditation, and mindfulness. This consistent practice leads to mastery and allows them to fully embody their teachings, which is the “real deal.”
      We can integrate this in our daily life by building small habits like exercising regularly, practice patience. It’s like learning multiplication in school, you gain the knowledge, but it becomes valuable when applied, like calculating the total cost of items while shopping. The key is turning knowledge into action through practice.
      Hope this helps. God bless!

    This is wonderful, but those who came before us had knowledge for their time, not necessarily ours. Sure there are universal things and truths, but as it unfolds, many of the older generation are not meshing with the modern world. I’m pretty sure the knowledge for navigating a social media/ AI world is out of their spectrum. And no, the answer is not to be a stone Buddha.

      @VisionArcc  Місяць тому +2

      I get where you’re coming from, and you’re right-ancient knowledge doesn’t always fit into today’s world, especially with things like social media and AI. I think the key is finding a balance: learning from timeless truths while adapting to the unique challenges of our time. It’s not about becoming a ‘stone Buddha’ but about evolving with awareness.

    Ummm 😂😂😂...most monks dont decide to be vicious killers of nature lol...and choose the path of non violence. So they dont really need to to turn knowledge into psychical action.
