My favourite kind of horror is the one where nothing is happening. You're waiting for *that* moment, whatever it is, to happen, but it never arrives. The absence of horror goes on for so long that every sound you hear, every action you take, even the simplicity of turning around a corner becomes agonizing and it just makes that eventual payoff all the more horrifying. @Baleur Yeah, Jesse was a bit off-base this episode. After that he went all-in on the "this is all a lie, nothing is real" theory, which doesn't sound to me like a satisfying way to play a game like this. Hopefully it was just tiredness/alcohol to blame.
I'm surprised they missed the angle of "oh Mia and Ethan were both a little moldy in RE7 thats probably why there may have been complications with the baby and/or possibly how the baby survived the miscarriage that may or may not have happened".
I literally just fully caught up and was waiting for episode 9 impatiently, not realizing this was posted, I have notifications on but youtube was like “no notifications for you”. Also this is the worst part to watch when it’s pitch black outside and everyone in the house is asleep, looks like I’m not sleepin tonight.

The sound design for House Beneviento is so good! The contrast between the roaring waterfall outside and then the silence inside is so unsettling, and the choice to not have any music playing until the chase sequence was great. ALSO Mia worked for Umbrella for ages.
Mia works for umbrella. So she knows they have some of the best scientists around and who better to help than them.
@@N94able No she didn't. She worked for The Connections, which is the separate group that created Eveline.
Me: Sits down with snacks and comfortable *I am ready to hear Davis cry*
Davis May Cry
@@ZexionII Have your like good commenter. Well deserved.
this whole section gives me major PT vibes and the irony is not lost on me :”)
House Beniveto could’ve easily been the whole Silent Hills PT game and I wouldn’t have been mad at all.
This house really is the most “horror movie” this games gets and it’s amazing.
The literal best time for the PRIME scary game squad signature joke:
DADDY WAS A REAL DRAG
They didn't say it! I'm so furious!
I WAS JUST ABOUT TO COMMENT THIS!!
The OG joke. Is that even before Alex came on board? Or am I thinking of fatal frame
@@JohnSmithJane You're thinking of Fatal Frame
*BIG MOOD, MY DUDES.*
Me: Okay, bedtime.
New episode drops.
Me: Who needs sleep?
Same
Mistakes were made
Please stop reading my mind and making me confront my own bad decisions.
who needs sleep ever again
You do. The video will still be here tomorrow.
Another great episode. A pity that they didn't look down when the room went first went red, before the baby appeared, and saw that there was a giant umbilical cord leading to the breaker box!!! So creepy!
In the first ever SGS video where they played PT, Davis screamed "IT'S THE FETUS." Now, 7 years later, Davis just quietly says "it's the fetus" over and over in fear. The circle is complete.
This is the most incredible part of the game and I had to see the boys react to that nightmare! Great show squad!
I relate to all the comments being like “I was gonna go to bed but then saw this drop and had to watch.”
Worth it!!!
19:13 Dad was such a drag.
I've seen this playthrough three times and that thing is still terrifying.
I'd never be able to play this, I can barely watch, but I love it.
Been a while since I've been this engaged by a youtube series. Everything from Davis' love of Dommy Mommy, to the wild theory crafting is making this possibly one of my favorite that the squad has done. Excited for more
Literally just checked to see if there was a new one. ;) :D
Everyone in the comments going to bed, while I just woke up and it's a fine morning where I am lol. That fetus is still terrifying tho
In my experience, morning fetuses are scarier
Just when the insomnia-driven boredom began to settle in...the squad delivers!
Oooooh Laaawd here we go. I've watched half a dozen playthroughs of this game, but but SGS are my favorite group to watch bar none.
Absolutely same!
Btw do you have any suggestions for other good let's plays of this? The best I've seen so far are The SGS boys of course #1, Chris Odd, and John Wolfe.
@@nixipixi8945 I think Markiplier did a pretty good job with it. Since he plays a LOT of horror games, he manages to predict a lot of what happens. Of course, he also has to carry all of the entertainment by himself.
Let's Play made a pretty good one too, but I don't think their group dynamic is quite as fun as Jesse & Co.
I find reactions to games/TV more entertaining when it’s a group of friends than just one person. I get to hear all there opinions and reactions to what’s going on. And I prefer not seeing the faces so I can feel as if I’m with the group watching the video. No distractions looking back and forth to the video and there facial reactions. Also, I liked the group discussing where to hide and theorize on what’s going on. I enjoyed this immensely. I honestly just found out about this UA-camr. 19:10
I couldn't fall asleep knowing a new episode was out! Exciting episode filled with spooks, but also a bit of sadness about what happened to Donna
The tension in this area.....jesus... ya'll are braver then I'll ever be. *Thumbs up*
This chapter was one of the very few times I've actually been legit afraid from a movie or game. God I wanted it to end as fast as possible.
yeah doll house is where this game peaked for me, such a great part!
"T'werent" 😆.
This is my favourite part of the game, I've bet looking forward to them playing it! I wish the rest of the game was spookier like this.
When the picture of the pregnant lady fell it looked like she was hanging
37:00 This is the part when Jesse went completely off the deep end :D
Have and will always get giddy when I see a new SGS ep!
Also (slight spoilers below)
...
I’m so glad the SGS boys didn’t get caught during that chase sequence. The scene that follows is literally nightmare inducing-if you know, you know-and I didn’t want these very good lads to endure that 🥺
Y U M M Y
Wow, no P.T. references in the whole episode? I'm impressed! Either way, GG, boys! That was hella fun.
Damn, that part of the game was really short, at least compared to the first one with Domi-mommy-matrix..!
Probably cause I just rewatched SGS's PT episodes again, but I kept remembering the Fetus in the sink. xD
I usually watch SGS in a darkened corner of my room for extra spookiness. For _this_ particular episode, I think I might forego that little tradition.
EDIT: I was correct to do this. But at least we got a "welcome to the family"
Let's gooooo.
Gimme some scared Davis
I was waiting for the squad to play this part for ages...
Late night uploads ftw!
Hell yeah!
Guys guys guys, it says on the collectible item if it's combinable or not. No need to keep items if they just say "valuable" :)
When the big fetus monster first showed, I sooo wish someone would've said "DADDY WAS A REAL DRAG" because I certainly yelled it in my head.
The sound design for House Beneviento is so good! The contrast between the roaring waterfall outside and then the silence inside is so unsettling, and the choice to not have any music playing until the chase sequence was great. Definitely my favorite set piece of the game, even though the escape room becomes a bit of a chore in subsequent playthroughs.
holy moly. I was so excited to watch this, but nearly fell asleep like five minutes in because It was super late. but then that fetus part came on and it scared me awake so bad LOL p.s. “Pick her up and throw her off the damn waterfall” had my dying
19:22 IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE
I want to bonk Jesse every time he says the baby isn't real.
Playing too well to experience the nightmare fuel that is death by baby, sigh :(
I, for one, would rather NOT be eaten by the baby!
What happens??
@@crickettbug3959 it just gobbles you up in one go, no teeth obviously.
@@ursarctos SHLURP
Okay that death sequence is so goddamn horrific
I am so glad I watched this in the morning and not right before bed
This area has such big PT vibes, and I adore that. It's like Capcom heard how much people wanted PT, and while they knew they couldn't be the ones to do that, they could pay homage to it in RE8 and they did so brilliantly.
