0:37 It's just called "Jedi Starfighter" because back then, Obi-Wan was the only character seen flying one. Other Jedi's Starfighters looking different is also a concept that was only introduced much later.
That makes sense. But each Jedi had a unique colored starfighter in episode 3 which was only 3 years later so it’s not like there was that big of a time gap before they started making them different
@@auditect950lego and Lucas film’s communication maybe just wasn’t that good at the time. I’m sure the idea for Jedi to have their own unique starfighters was a thing since/before episode 2
Obi-Wan's Attack of The Clones (Episode II) Starfighter was a Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptor, not a Delta-1. "Delta-1" is not a designation for any starfighter in Star Wars cannon. Also, Anakin's 2018 Yellow Starfighter, along with all other Center Astromech mounted models, was a Delta-7B... The Clone Wars staff quickly realized having an astromech droid welded into the left of the ship would not work well with needing R2-D2 to jump out of Anakin's fighter. This, amusingly, creates a discrepancy between the Lego version of Plo Koon's Delta-7B, and the ROTS screen accurate Delta-7.
@@fivelonelyclones Based off the rest of the video, I assumed as much. I just used it as an excuse to show off my overly thorough and pedantic nerd knowledge :P
Of course, it's subjective the list, only the last place doesn't suit me at all, it's probably my subjective vote from the past, but I can put it at least above Yoda Starfighter without any doubt.
The biggest advantage the 2016 interceptor had on the 2020 one is sticker details on the outside of the s-foils. I own and display Anakins Green, Obis Red, aand the 2020 yellow all next to each other and the newest one looks the least detailed because of the lack of outer stickers
Great ranking in my opinion. The 2020 Anakin’s interceptor is perfection, and I wish they had just simultaneously reskinned it in red and released them in the same set for 60 bucks. Would’ve been epic. Also love my Saesee Tinn delta 7 and both of my yellow Anakin’s delta 7s. Looking forward to seeing how the designs change for both styles with the rumored Plo Koon’s starfighter and Ahsoka’s interceptor.
Honestly the new jedi bob starfighter the actual design of the body of this thing is amazing. The cockpit isn't too high, the lines flow really really well, its super sturdy and there's no ugly gaps anywhere. 10/10 build on the jedi bob starfighter in my opinion
I have both Obi-Wan and Anakin's starfighters from 2014-2016. But the Anakin version has been in pieces for years and is missing parts. I'm planning on rebuilding it and then buying 3 of the upcoming ARC-170 sets for the ultimate display!
Just got Jedi Bob's Starfighter recently (for the memes) and it's an awesome set! I also forgot I had Saesee Tiin's starfighter. Gotta find that one somewhere in my house.
One of my first lego sets was the 2002 jedi starfighter but i never put it together so it was cool to get the remake and finally put that one together.
There is a great moc that removes pieces from the 2022 obi wan starfighter to make it sleeker, I did it and it looks great, the only downside is you cannot fit the stomach body inside anymore
I still think that the bad batch has been completly ignored from lego, the fact that the BOBF has more lego sets than the bad batch is crazy. The show is easily top 2 and has 2 quite lack luster set in my opinion
L-take, anikins starfighter isn't the best delta-7 design. The cockpit sticks out way to much. the profile on jedi bob's starfighter is the best. And the azure angel is the goated jedi starfighter set.
Five Lonely Clones talks like Kamala Harris, in that he just says the same things over and over as if he’s trying to fill a word count. Look no further than the first entry on this list, essentially saying “this set was good for its time period but doesn’t meet todays standards, but like I said it was a good set back in the day but doesn’t look good in 2024.”
I mean fair enough but a lot of these sets are hard to talk about for the 1ish minute time slot they get in a ranking list. If it's a full on set review you could go on in great detail about each individual minifigure or part of the build, and in a fast paced compilation style video you only have to give 1-2 sentences. It's that middle ground where you have to make a 1 paragraph overview without going too much into one specific thing as to not lose focus. Furthermore with the example you mentioned, there is very little to even bring up about that starfighter build, as it literally has 0 substantial play features, no previous incarnations to compare to, and is from an era where lego had a drastically different design philosophy so it's barely worth comparing it to any of its remakes.
+1 on the Plo Koon Starfighter. The fact that the color scheme is brick built is awesome, and I look forward to a potential remake.

7669 Anakins Jedi Starfighter was one of the first sets my grandma gifted to me. It is so nostalgic.

God i hope lego remakes obi wan and anakins interceptors, always wanted them as a kid and would be awesome to see then remade
The gold strip on Sasee Tens Star fighter looks soooooooo good

Absolutely great list keep the. Coming
6:08 everytime I see the box art, I can't help but focus on Evan Peel' ear going over his lightsaber
17/20, not too bad (the three being the outdated sets from 2005 and prior that all got a remake)
Such a great video!

I personally love that og obi wan star fighter
I have no idea why it was so low on the list. It's got by far the best shape in terms of all Delta 7s.
It easily clears every other Obi wan starfighter
i make it a habit to keep seeing if you uploaded. you did not disappoint
Neat to see this list, because recently I’ve been making my own starfighters
Imma say it, Saeisei Tiin’s Starfighter is peak (have it since I was 13, I still love it now as much as I did in 2012!)
I'm getting a used one soon, even piells torso is apparently cracked tho :/
I wish they would do another Obi Wan interceptor. Blue or red, doesn’t matter to me.
I’ve been waiting years for a vid like this
Just got Jedi Bob's Starfighter recently (for the memes) and it's an awesome set! I also forgot I had Saesee Tiin's starfighter. Gotta find that one somewhere in my house.
I think the og might have been called just "Jedi Starfighter" because Obi-Wan's ship wasn't unique, it was what all Jedi Starfighters looked like
One of my first lego sets was the 2002 jedi starfighter but i never put it together so it was cool to get the remake and finally put that one together.
Every Jedi starfighter is perfect 🤩
The Azure Angel is the best

2018 starfighter is great, but I also love the 2022 version despite its flaws. 2020s interceptor build is literally perfect but 2016 is so good too
You should definitely rank the years of lego star wars if you haven't done it already. Good video bro
Pretty good list, i have all of these besides the ones in the hyperdrive rings and the original Obi Wans fighter
I hope one day we get a UCS scale Eta 2. Also, no UCS scaled Delta 7s in the ranking?
If I could find all the pieces to my Obi Wans jedi star fighter I would build it 😢
No way bro mixxed the Jedi interceptors and jedi starfighters into one video
LETS GOOOOOO!!!!!!!
(First hehehe)
we need the post battle of coruscant jedi interceptors remade
How come no come ucs obi wan star fighter
I still think that the bad batch has been completly ignored from lego, the fact that the BOBF has more lego sets than the bad batch is crazy. The show is easily top 2 and has 2 quite lack luster set in my opinion
How is your collextion?
the new plo Koon star fighter remake is sadly a micro fighter
No Imperial V-Wing Starfighter and no Anakin's Y-Wing Starfighter?
75087 is still the best in my opinion. The ship design is gorgeous.
Please rank every speeder bike next.
Saesee Tiin’s Starfighter > Jedi Bob’s Starfighter
It’s actually called the delta 7 starfighter
7:10 What a pity
Did I miss 10215 on this list
I left it out
It’s actually called the Delta-7, not the Delta-1😂❤

Forgot obi wans starfighter from 2002
2022 Obi wan Delta 7 should be in top 5 wtf
I could have mistaken this for a ranking of the most boring starfighters ever made.
