I found Caproni's. It's exterior hasn't changed a bit aside from a new style of entrance and it's in Maysville, Kentucky, on the same street as the station there. Edit: This video's aging like the finest of wines.
Sounds like in the beginning of the video 765’s whistle went through puberty and going forward her Nathan 6 chime whistle becomes more mature, and even develops a couple of accents along the way, (guest whistles).
These excursions really should've been pulled by the other berk... AKA C&0 2716... But nope. Mechanical issues happened, so 765 was used. Oh well... At least 765 is still operating now. Nice video.
@@AlexTrain5249 We can thank the Clinchfield for that. When they had her on lease in '79 for their steam program before it got shut down due to the president of the company, at least from what I've heard, getting caught sending funds to the restoration in ways that weren't legal, they took her to Marion, NC and hired out some contractors, and they just went buck wild with tearing her down in the absolute wrong manner. When the Southern leased her, they had to replace a large majority of her stay bolts and piping during their proper restoration and cosmetic rebuild. I've heard that Bill Purdie himself said that there wasn't hardly a run they didn't have to replace a burst pipe or something on her.
PRR 3 chime Marquez. This is actually the same whistle she wore back in 1982 when Bill used her to pinch hit for 2716. Cincinnati to Knoxville through the Rathole. I believe this was from a M class 4-8-2. She wore a whistle from a K4 and a K5. Not to mention she also wore a Q2 in 1989
These Towns Look Very Different from Today. Anyhow Glad You Got these Shots for people in this day of time to remember how things used to be! 👍👍👍👍👍
I really miss the sound of that old whistle, its nostalgic
Now her whistle finally sounds like this again.
It’s finally been fixed and it sounds amazing again!
Nickel Plate Road S-2 Berkshire 765 performed flawlessly on the excursions.

Heh that's the result of lots of hard use. It sounds a lot deeper today.

That mechanical issue was a cracking firebox.

Really? That’s alarming.
765 is one of my favorite steam locomotives ever (not number 1, but still love it)! And for good resons :)
11:52 I think is my favorite shot
Good video!
He got trains game records and more
765’s whistle from 1980 sounds like nkp 760
That's because they were of the same general design.
What 6 chime whistle is on #765 in 1985, 1986, and 1987? I was just wondering.
@10:56 what is that whistle? It’s so beautiful 🥺

765 has 2 whistles
Sounds definitely like LIRR 39 and PRR 1361!
Sounds more like a Southern 3.
